couple, was given credence with their official launch of the Calayan Surgicenter recently.

For example, there is now a series of star-studded billboards all over Metro Manila. Soon, too, the C (for Calayan) emblem will be seen in the provinces to give more sparkle to the Calayan name.

The combined expertise on beauty and body enhancement of the Calayan couple was very evident in their star endorsers, who include beauty queens Miriam Quiambao and Precious Lara Quiagaman, the Coverboys, consisting of Victor Basa, Zanjoe Marudo, Jake Cuenca and Rafael Rosel, Luis Manzano, Bianca Gonzales, Mariel Rodriguez, Pia Guanio and Boy Abunda.

Add to the roster veteran actresses Celia Rodriguez, Dexter Doria and Gina Pareño who, with the Calayan "feel" have not lost their radiance through the years.

Claire de la Fuente and Eva Eugenio confirmed report that their contemporary in the music world, Imelda Papin, has married an ultra-rich guy in the US.

He is a Filipino. "At mahal na mahal niya si Imelda," said Claire. "He produces concerts for her and doesnt mind acting as her boy Friday.

"Kapag may concert si Imelda, kahit siya angproducer, he is at her back and call."

The couple, Claire added, lives in a mansion which has a swimming pool, a tennis court and everything that the house of the rich and famous have. Claire said she believes the mansion of Imelda and her husband used to be owned by Hollywood actor Clark Gable.

"Bongga di ba?" said Eva, who is separated. "May masusuwerte talagang tao."

Eva has never had another relationship since her split-up from the father of her daughter, who is now a Mass Communications graduate.

Claire, meanwhile, is a widow. Her husband died two years ago.

Both are still active in their singing careers.

Claire and Imelda, plus four other music artists responsible for many hit songs in the 70s and 80s, are performing together for the first time in a very special concert at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on December 30, 8 p.m.

The four others are Rico J. Puno, Nonoy Zuñiga, Rey Valera and Joey Albert.

The show, "Legends of OPM," will be the crowning glory of what has been hailed as a great year of live performances in the local music world.

All six have a long string of enduring hit songs which, to date, are still being sang by singers of today.

Ricos big hits include "Kapalaran," "Damdamin," "Ang Taoy Marupok," "Lupa," "May Bukas Pa," "Macho Guwapito" and "Magkasuyo Buong Gabi."

Nonoy has "Doon Lang," "Kumusta Ka," "Love Without Time," "Init sa Magdamag" and "Never Ever Say Goodbye."

Rey composed and popularized "Maging Sino Man," "Pangako Sa Yo," "Walang Kapalit," "Ako Si Superman" and "Kung Kailangan Kita," which also became titles of blockbuster movies.

Claire is best known for "Sayang," "Unang Pag-ibig," and "Nakaw na Pag-ibig."

Eva had "Tukso," "Pag-ibig Na Walang Dangal," "Mahal Mo Ba Siya," "Minamahal Kita Minamahal Ko Siya" and "Babae Ako."

Joey, who is now based in Canada with her family, will come home purposely for the concert. She popularized "Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin," "Iisa Pa Lamang," "Tell Me," "Yakapin Mo Ako" and "I Remember the Boy."
