| | Dingdong's mom seen in Tarot premiere Author: Angela Casauay Column: Manila, Entertainment Marian Rivera is happy that the family of rumored boyfriend Dingdong Dantes watched the premiere night of her movie Tarot under the co-production of GMA and Regal Films in Cinema 10 of SM Megamall Monday. Actress Marian Rivera answers questions from the media.
"Of course, I'm happy. They already told me before that they want to watch the movie. I'm happy that they're here. My Lola is here, as well as my Mom, Dingdong's Mom and his siblings," Marian said.
Tarot is about Cara (played by Marian) who discovers at a young age that she can predict the future by reading tarot cards.
Cara's mother (Susan Africa) banned her from gaining access to them but when her fiancé Miguel (Dennis Trillo) gets lost in the forest during a hike, she felt compelled to use them once more.
After a series of unfortunate events, Cara realizes that the cards could be cursed. To stop the onslaught of bad luck, Cara must discover the real story behind the Tarot's powers. 'Public display of affection'
There have been reports that Dingdong and Marian are seen in public being so sweet to each other. They are said to be displaying their affection publicly.
Blooming in a short draped white dress during the premiere night, Marian had this to say, "I think what happened wasn't entirely out of place since it was my birthday and he greeted me."
The rumored couple was caught on camera engaged in a "public display of affection" during Marian's belated birthday celebration at the Imperial Palace Suites in Tomas Morato.
A day after, the two were again caught on camera in another kissing scene - this time, during the taping of Dingdong's birthday TV Special, Dante's Peak, at Studio 7 of GMA Network Studios.
Marian explained though that the kiss was only part of the production.
For the public, the two incidents may have sealed the deal on the real score between the two.
But Marian refuses to answer directly when asked about the status of her relationship with Dingdong.
"We don't deny anything. We just don't say anything about it, but maybe what you see is what you get, right? Let's just put it that way," she said.
She also believes that there is no more need for a formal announcement. "I don't think so anymore because what's important is that the two of us understand each other when it comes to certain things."
Tarot will open in cinemas nationwide (including SM cinemas) today, August 26.
Tarot reunites the team up of Marian Rivera and Dennis Trillo who have worked together in the movie Pamahiin. Directed by Palanca Hall of Famer Jun Lana (Gigil, Roxxxane, and Kulam), it also stars Roxanne Guinoo, Alwyn Uytingco, Niña Jose, Glaiza de Castro, and Rich Asuncion. Source: Sunstar Daily |
