Quite a number of our still more popular stars owe Kuya Germs a lot. Matindi at mabigat ang assignment na iniatang ng pamunuan ng ABS-CBN sa balikat ni Direk Andoy Ranay at sa mga artista ng teleseryeng Prinsesa ng Banyera — Kristine Hermosa, Angelika dela Cruz, TJ Trinidad, Rafael Rosell, Jaclyn Jose at Maricar de Mesa, among others.

We all know that for sometime now, nakasanayan na ng televiewers na after lunchtime, mga teleseryeng Koreano, kundi man Mexican, ang pinanonood sa telebisyon.

Pero, pakiwari nga ng ABS-CBN, it's high time na mga palabas na local na ang muling mapanood ng televiewers sa timeslot na ito.

Matatandaang in the past years, sa oras na ito napapanood ang Mara Clara, the series which served as the stepping stone of Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes to stardom.

Recuerdo was the last local series na na-feature sa nasabing timeslot.

"Maganda ang istorya ng Prinsesa ng Banyera," ani Direk Andoy. "Tiyak na magugustuhan ito ng manonood. Tungkol ito sa kambal na magkapatid na parehong babae, who led different lives. Isa sa kahirapan; the other one, comfortably.
