"Entertainment Live!" recap: Edu and Vi movie plus other reunion stories; Zsa Zsa talks about Karylle and Dingdong

The Yuletide season always encourages the healing of old wounds and settling differences. Local showbiz--as reported by ABS-CBN's Entertainment Live!--clearly illustrates that point by announcing the staging of Martin Nievera and ex-wife, Pops Fernandez concert to be held tentatively on February of next year.

After months of public dispute brought by a number of issues related to their past relationship, singers Martin and Pops are now poised to prove that all's well between them. Though details are still scarce at this point, the Concert Queen assured that a concert--tentatively slated early next year--featuring her and Martin is right on the drawing board.

"Pina-finalize lang namin lahat," she told E Live! in an interview, "but that will happen sometime siyempre February abangan nyo rin yon."

Making things even more interesting was the news that Pops's current beau, Jomari Yllana, will be producing the reunion concert. As for the possible complications that may arise out of the venture, Pops optimistically replied, "Wala namang problem. Wala akong nakikitang problem."

EDU AND VI MOVIE. Pilipinas, Game KNB? host Edu Manzano happily announced the possibility of appearing in a movie with ex-wife Vilma Santos. The PMPC Star Awards for Television Best Game Show host, however, pointed out one important condition should the project came into fruition.

"Sabi ko ngayon lang tayo magsasama, e, di sana naman maganda' yong eksena," Edu recalled telling Vilma during a conversation. The role would most likely be a cameo one as part of the Star for All Season's well-anticipated comeback film under Star Cinema, which will also star their son Luis Manzano and John Lloyd Cruz.

Edu added: "Kasi hindi naman mahabang role, guest lang. So dapat at least meron silang maisipang magandang eksena na at least markado para sa ating mga manonood."

ONE MORE TIME FOR KRISTINE AND ECHO. Former lovers Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales once more rekindled the magic they once cast on television viewers through the country's longest-running drama anthology program, Maalaala Mo Kaya.

It wasn't easy at first, confessed Kristine, and it took a bit of time before the chemistry resurfaced. "Nakakailang kasi nga ngayon lang ulit kami nagsama pero yong latter part naman ng taping medyo parang, ah okay, okay pa rin pala. Di pa rin siya nagbago, ganun. So okay naman, okay naman yong takbo ng taping," she offered.

The said episode was shown last night, December 6.

ZSA ZSA WILL MISS DINGDONG. Singer-host Zsa Zsa Padilla couldn't help but feel excited now that daughter Karylle is officially part of ABS-CBN's Sunday musical variety, ASAP '08.

In a message addressed to Karylle, Zsa Zsa said: "Im really very happy that you are moving forward very well and excited ako talaga na makasama ka sa ASAP, at 'wag kang matakot at itong mga kasama ko sa ASAP ay mababait at mga magiging mga kaberks mo."

Zsa Zsa also commented on Karylle's recent breakup with longtime boyfriend Dingdong Dantes.

"Before I left, I know and we had a presscon. Siyempre hindi ko naman lugar na magsalita and they waited for the right time, di ba, to make a public announcement about it. So siyempre nirespeto ko 'yon."

It was a sad period, and admittedly, Zsa Zsa's instinct as a mother came through when she assured Karylle that a lot of people love her through thick and thin.

"Mahirap nung umpisa sabi ko sa kanya just concentrate on love that is constant, and that is love that your family has for you. She's coping very well and it's been two months. I saw her yesterday and she looks really good," said Zsa Zsa.

"I'd rather not comment," she said when asked for her opinion on the rumor that the breakup was caused by a third party on Dingdong's part.

It turned out that even she will miss Dingdong, particularly during family occasions.

"Mami-miss namin siya. Actually we have this all-girl vacation every year, tatlo dun sumama siya, humahabol siya. So we're taking another one [and] he's not gonna be around. I really wish him the best kung si K [Karylle] dumaan sa proseso na ganun, kami rin siguro sa pamilya namin pinagdaanan din namin 'yon. So nakikita namin na maganda na 'yong kalagayan niya [Karylle], masaya na kami para sa kanya," Zsa Zsa said in closing.
