Erik Santos and his newest album from Star Records, "Erik Santos: The Jim Brickman Songbook," are set to conquer Asia in the following days.

Aside from, of course, the Philippines, eight major Asian lands – Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand – shall be filled by the sooting voice of Erik, Prince of Pop and platinum-selling artist.

This coming November, an array of events will keep him busy as he foes to Singapore on November 14, Malaysia on November 23, then off to Japan the next day and back to Sianpore on November 29 to face three-thousand fans.

Local fans need not fret as he continues to perform in "ASAP '09" and will also have a concert at the Aliw Theater on November 21 with Boss Diva Sitti Navarro.

"It has always been a dream for me. I have never imagine that my album will reach countries outside the Philippines," he said, "With the help of Star Records, maabot ko na rin ang isa sa mga pinapangarap ko bilang isang singer."

How would he like the billing "Asia's Prince of Pop?"

"Why not?" he answered enthusiastically, "Pag nag hit itong album!"

Erik's latest album, which is on its way to gold record status, is one of a kind as it has a lyrics sheet and also offers the "Erik Santos: The Jim Brickman Songbook" in SD Card format, embedded with six chosen songs from the album.

"With the SD Card format, mas madali ninyo na akong makakasama through my songs kasi puwede ninyo na akong ibulsa," Erik joked. "Maganda ito kasi puwede ninyo nang mapakinggan yung mga songs ko on your phones na hindi na kailangang i-download pa."

Aside from the album, Erik is excited about his coming graduation March next year.

It was a juggling act that he was able to accomplish through time management, he said.

And it must have helped that he has remained focused on his career and studies, choosing to be loveless for two years now. But the truth, he said, is there just is he has not found the right person yet.

"Walang dumarating e," he explained.

He is happy to note, though, that his last girlfriend, Rufa Mae Quinto, is engaged.

"I'm happy for her na talagang ikakasal na talaga siya. Masaya ako kung saan siya masaya. I'm more than willing to sing at her wedding, kung i-in-invite niya ako.

"Kakantahin ko kung ano ang gusto niya. But if I were asked to choose, ummm, 'Where's the Good in Good-bye?' kaya? Joke! 'The Gift' siguro."
