ARTISTS Erik Santos and Toni Gonzaga were officially named "singing ambassadors" of the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) for advancing the humanitarian causes of the organization through their new album, "I Move, I Give, I Love," ABS-CBN News reported yesterday.

During the launching of the album Tuesday afternoon at the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City, Santos and Gonzaga said the project is special to them because it gives them the chance to do something for the community.

The album, which features inspirational songs performed by the duo, along with singer Yeng Constantino, was conceptualized for the 150th anniversary of the International Committee of Red Cross, which has chapters worldwide.

Santos said, "I feel very happy. Nakakataba ng puso dahil isa pong karangalan para sa akin ang maging isa sa ambassadors ng Red Cross for the year."

Gonzaga said she was happy to be part of the project.

"To be given a chance na makatulong sa kapwa at mabuksan ang awareness ng ibang tao and the activities na kayang gawin ng Red Cross para sa kanila, ay malaking bahagi para sa amin. Dahil, we are not just doing something for ourselves but also for the community and for the country as well," the singer-actress said. (Natalie M. Malayo)
