| Eugene talks about 'Kimi Dora'![]() Author: (Jill Beltran/Sunnex) THERE's no stopping multi-awarded comedienne Eugene Domingo in grinding her launching movie "Kimi Dora (Kambal sa Kyeme)," not even Typhoon Isang. In a rainy Thursday night, Eugene warmly welcomed some invited entertainment press at their set in Antipolo City, where she was shooting the grand birthday party of the father of her twin character Kimi and Dora. Eugene Domingo takes most challenging scenes in her first-ever launching movie entitled "Kimi Dora (Kambal sa Kyeme)." (Jill Beltran) "Birthday ng tatay ni Kimi and Dora na si Luisito Go Ding Hei. May malaking party, galing lang kasi siya sa ospital so naisip namin bakit hindi mag-paparty kasi parang second life na niya ito," shared Eugene who was in character of Kimi wearing a stunning beige gown tailored by her college friend. After all the ado and delay on which movie will launch Eugene as a lead star, the actress is just so happy that her greatest dream is finally made into reality. "Finally! I am very excited and grateful. Every day is a challenge. Hindi siya madali ika nga sa lahat ng opportunity may responsibilidad," she said. The comedienne said that as they are still in the process of making the film, she could not tell how excellent the movie will turn out. But she believed that with the effort she is giving in the project, people would definitely look forward to it. "Tulungan, suportahan, kasi siyempre hindi madali nakakapagod so I get my inspiration and my strength from the people who trust na magagawa ito ng maganda," she said. According to Eugene, "Kimi Dora" is the most challenging film that she has ever done. She said it is hard to play a twin role, to act with animals and to even dip her face into carabao's poop. "Yung challenge everyday pataas ng pataas. Nandyan yung nag-swimming ako kasama ng kalabaw. Andun yung sumumsob ako sa ebak ng kalabaw. May double ako pero parang hindi ginagamit ni direk. Parang dun sa tae, tine-test lang niya kung may ahas pero ako din ang gagawa," she said. Eugene has no qualms doing everything that could help make her movie more entertaining and funny. She respects and appreciates the story written by her best friend Chris Martinez, who also penned the internationally acclaimed "100." "I just always tell him that I want to do things that I haven't done before," she said. At the set visit, Eugene also disclosed that she will be shooting her much-talked-about kissing scene with leading man Dingdong Dantes. "Oo nga. Hindi ako makakain kasi baka dumighay ako ng bongangbonga... eto nag-chewing gum lang ako para hindi mapanis ang laway ko," she quipped. Asked how is it working with her dream leading man, she said: "I believe that Dingdong Dantes is a versatile actor. He is always willing to try new things as an actor. This is for us to see that he is not just for love teams, a boy next door, because we already know how handsome he is." Star-Studded flick Aside from Eugene and Dingdong, another interesting thing to look forward in this film is the cameo roles that several artists had done for the film "for free." Sun.Star spotted stars Vhong Navarro, Ruffa Mae Quinto, Erik Santos, Christian Bautista, Gabby Eigenman, and Marvin Agustin. They will be doing their cameo appearance for free to show their support for Eugene. Regine Velasquez, according to Eugene, has also a cameo role in the movie. "All of them are actually one day shoot like two hours. No talent fee... I am so grateful for their support..." But if there is one man Eugene pays much gratitude, she said that it will be Piolo Pascual, who is one of the producers of "Kimi Dora." "I dedicate this film to him. Basta kung ano man ang kalalabasan I'm sure ikatutuwa niya. Kasi talagang mula tuktok ng bumbunan ko hanggang sa kaduluduluhan ng daliri ko binigay ko na." "Kimi Dora (Kambal sa Kyeme)" tells a story of twins named Kimi and Dora who look life in a very opposite way. Dora sees life perfectly while Kimi's life revolves around money and power. It is slated to be shown in theaters on September 2. Source: Sunstar Daily |
