Nanguna sa takilya ng North America nitong nakaraang weekend ang bagong bukas na pelikulang The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Humigit-kumulang sa $30M ang opening weekend gross ng pelikulang ito kung saan pinaghalo ang drama sa korte at klasikong horror.

Ang istorya nito ay inspired ng mga totoong pangyayari, kung saan nilitis ang isang Katolikong pari sa kasong negligent homicide kaugnay sa pagkamatay ng isang 19-anyos na sinaniban ng demonyo.

Nasa cast ng pelikula ang Oscar nominees na sina Tom Wilkinson, Laura Linney at Shohreh Aghdashloo.

Gantimpala Theater Foundation (GTF), in cooperation with the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), announces the audition for its forthcoming production (El Filibusterismo)on September 16, 2005, 1:00-4:00 PM, at the Rehearsal Hall of the Concert at the Park Auditorium, Luneta, Manila.

Up for grabs are lead and supporting roles. The audition is open to male and female actors, 18-20 y/o, fluent in Filipino, having a background in theater is a big plus.

A three-minute Filipino monologue must be prepared and they must bring a resume with a head shot-colored photograph.

PETA initiates its new home called PETA Theater Center in Quezon City with the award winning sarswela Ang Palasyo ni Valentin.

Penned by Mario OHara, the play won the grand prize at the Centennial Literary Competition in 1998.

The play stars Nonie Buencamino (as Valentin), Sheryl Maala & Cynthia Culig-Guico (alternates as Diding), Gigette Reyes (as Carlota) and Chinggoy Alonso (as Seor Alfonso).

It is directed by Soxie Topacio, with music composed by Minda Azarcon and Vince de Jesus.

Playdates are scheduled from September 15-17, 22-25, October 6-9, and 13-16. Show times are 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

Ipalalaba ang uncut R-18 version ng pelikulang Wild Side simula bukas sa Robinsons Galleria.

Ang pelikulang ito ay nagwagi ng Teddy Award (for best narrative film) sa Berlin Film Festival noong nakaraang taon.

Its a haunting drama about the audacious romantic entanglement between a former Russian soldier (Edouard Nikitine), an Arab prostitute (Yasmine Belmadi), and a free wheeling transsexual (Stephanie Michelinis).
