Column: Entertainment ABS-CBN's hit television show "I Love Betty La Fea" is nearing its finale and the comedy-drama series' main villainess is not too happy about it.
Actress and former beauty titlist Ruffa Gutierrez, who plays the character of Daniella, said she is saddened because the show is about to end.
"Actually talagang nakakalungkot kasi siyempre naging close na din ako sa mga kasamahan ko and they have been nice to me. Hindi lang 'yong artista kung hindi 'yong directors and staff," she said.
Gutierrez added that she now considers the show's cast and crew as her family.
"Nakaka-miss din pero like eveything, when the show ends, there's new things that we are going to be hoping for," she said.
For the upcoming finale of "I Love Betty La Fea," Gutierrez said viewers should watch for her "slapping scenes" with Bea Alonzo, who plays Betty. "I'd like to fake it kaso sabi ni direk kailangan totoo."
"I Love Betty La Fea," the Filipino adaptation of Colombian soap opera "Yo soy Betty, la fea (I am Betty, the ugly one)," is a story of an unattractive but intelligent woman who is constantly being ridiculed by her pretty officemates. Her struggles begin after she falls in love with her handsome boss.
The Filipino version of the TV series, which will have its final curtain call in three weeks, has attracted a big number of viewers. Last April 2, TNS, an independent research firm, said "I Love Betty La Fea" ranked No. 2 on its list of most watched shows, garnering 35.5 percent viewership. Source: ABS-CBN News |
