Flaminianos' libel case against Jobert Sucaldito erupts into furious word war

"Huwag mo akong bastusin. Bastusan, humarap ka sa akin, magbastusan tayo. You don't even have to go to court!" says showbiz columnist-host Jobert Sucaldito (right) to talent manager Rose Flaminiano (left) and her husband Atty. Ed Flaminiano.

Many people thought that showbiz columnist Jobert Sucaldito and talent manager Rose Flaminiano settled their issue about the supposed product endorsement of Gabby Concepcion after the actor appeared on The Buzz last Sunday, May 4. Jobert is also part of the ABS-CBN showbiz talk show as a segment host.

However, everything changed when Mommy Rose filed a libel case against Jobert in Tarlac City yesterday, May 5. Hence, the word war between them continues.

According to Mommy Rose's legal counsel and husband Atty. Eduardo Flamininano, their camp decided to file a case against the showbiz columnist because of his "derogatory" write-ups in his showbiz columns.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Mommy Rose defended herself, "Malaman nilang wala akong isang salita, walang isang salita si Gabby, pera-pera lang ang mukha namin. Unfair."

She was also firm in explaining why they decided to file a case.

On the other hand, Jobert claimed that he got offended by the letter that was sent to him by Atty. Flaminiano. In the said letter, Atty. Flaminiano allegedly addressed Jobert as "Sucaldito, Sucal-doon."

Jobert was in tears while talking to ABS-CBN News and GMA News.

In a separate interview with ABS-CBN News reporter Marie Lozano, Jobert angrily addressed Atty. Flaminiano in front of the camera, "Huwag mong bastusin ang pangalan ng tatay ko! Huwag mong bastusin, Atty.

At press time, Jobert had yet to receive a copy of the libel case filed by Mrs. Flaminiano in Tarlac City yesterday.

"Hihintayin ko. May karapatan naman siyang maghabla, karapatan niya yun," said Jobert to GMA News.

Nelson asked Jobert about reports that Gabby is also planning to file a separate libel case against him in San Juan City.

I will just wait for it," Jobert answered.
