GMA, ABS-CBN stars join MassKara

THE beautiful faces of GMA Network's Telebabad (primetime) shows will take time off to join Bacoleños in celebrating the colorful and most-anticipated 2009 Masskara Festival.

It is bound to be another weekend to remember as no less than Rhian Ramos, TJ Trinidad, Mark Herras, and Katrina Halili head the line-up of Kapuso Stars who will be in Bacolod City for the Mardi gras celebration.

Rhian and TJ are presently seen in the Pinoy adaptation of "Stairway to Heaven" wherein they portray the roles of Jodi and Tristan, respectively.

Mark, meanwhile, is one of the main characters in the dramatic series' "Ikaw Sana".

Katrina, on the other hand, reprises the villain role of Fedra in "Rosalinda".

On October 17, the first stop for Rhian and TJ will be the barangay Sum-ag Gym in Bacolod City at 11 a.m.

Rhian and TJ will help distribute GMA school bags and supplies to 100 student-beneficiaries of the Kapuso outreach program. This program is part of the Kapuso volunteerism project of the network in the regions where Kapuso Stars have been actively taking part.

The TV screen idols will then head for the Kapuso fiesta mall show at SM City Bacolod.

There will be on-ground games and activities, with sponsors' booths opening at 1 p.m. to kick-off the Kapuso activities. The mall show will begin at 5 p.m.

On Monday, GMA Network will participate in the Charter Day grand parade, which will traverse the main streets of Bacolod City, starting at 7 a.m.

Another Kapuso Telebabad experience awaits Bacolod City this weekend at the 2009 Masskara Festival.

Meanwhile, Kapamilya celebrities will also be joining the celebration of the 30th Masskara.

Stars such as Jake Cuenca, Melissa Ricks and Matt Evans will grace the celebration today and Saturday at the Gaisano Mall in Bacolod.

Other stars expected to party with the Bacolodnons are Sam Concepcion, Dino Imperial and Nikki Valdez.

Catch these guys' special performances at 3 p.m.in Gaisano Mall.

On Saturday, Bacolod will have the chance to see the country's miracle boy Santino as he visits and gives a treat to other children through the "Pista ng mga Bata" medical mission, which aims to give help and support to those who were affected by the recent typhoons.

Santino will be at the Gaisano Orchard Area at 2 p.m.
