For the first time since leaving for the US more than a decade ago, actor Gabby Concepcion is holding a concert in the country at Zirkoh Bar in Timog Avenue on August 14th.

This is in time for the release of his album in the local market under Warner Music Philippines.

Roldan Castro, an enterprising movie scribe, thought of mounting a show that would feature Concepcion as the main artist. He conceptualized "Faces, Voices & Bodies" to accommodate the musical talent of the comebacking actor.

Concepcion, one of the screen heartthrobs in the 1980s, sang for various Filipino communities in the United States in his almost thirteen years of absence from the local scene.

Prior to that, he was made to hum a tune or two during the promo period of his films along with actresses Sharon Cuneta, Maricel Soriano, Snooky Serna and the like during their teeny bopper days.

Concepcion is amazed by recent developments in his career.

In the US, he honed his craft in singing with ex-pat singer Jam Morales as voice coach.

"Madalas kaming mag-jam ni Jam, you know. No pun intended, ha," he chuckled.

They were a favorite singing duo among Filipinos in the US.

"Barkada na kami ni Jam no'n pa. Kasi, yong husband niya dati, kaibigan ko," said Concepcion.

Concepcion will be joined in by other performers such as Toni Gonzaga, Joross Gamboa, the Baywalk Bodies, and Valerie Concepcion.

Valerie is very excited to share centerstage with Gabby.

"My long lost father," she joked. Excited ako sa show. Kung gusto niya, puwede rin kami mag-duet," she said.
