| Heart Evangelista moves on![]() Author: Mario E. Bautista WHAT does Richard Gutierrez think of Heart Evangelista? "She's hot!" he says. "You should see her belly dancing scene in 'Codename: Asero.' Ang ganda ng katawan niya ngayon at ang suwerte ko ngang akong nakapareha niya. She's more focused on her career now at talagang masarap siyang katrabaho." So can he fall in love with her? "That's not hard to see kasi madali siyang mahalin. But as of now, we're better off as friends. Trabaho na lang muna." At the presscon of "Asero," many press people notice how abundant Heart's boobs are and they ask her if she had breast augmentation. "Hindi ako nagparetoke ng boobs," she says. "It's a Victoria's Secret bra na parang air balloon and when you use it, parang lumalaki ang boobs mo. May nagsabi nga, pati butt ko raw pinaayos ko para mas tumambok. The truth is tumaba lang ako. Ngayon lang kasi ako nag-expose ng konting flesh, kaya nasa-shock ang mga tao. Talagang may sinusunod akong physical fitness program. I bought my own treadmill for this kasi I should also prepare for my own action scenes in 'Asero.'" What do her parents say about this? "Okay lang sa kanila, pati kissing scenes ko with Richard, basta kailangan talaga sa story at hindi lalabas na bastos on screen. But it doesn't mean I'll go sexy na. 'Yung belly dancing naman, small part lang ng 'Asero.' Ewan ko ngawhy it became such a big thing." So what's the status of her heart now? "I'm fine. I've moved on." Is she ready to fall in love again? "Definitely not. After what I went through the last time, tama na muna. At saka kakukuha pa lang sa'kin ng GMA. Mas dapat tumutok muna ako on my career with them kaya wala munang commitment sa boys." How come she's linked to Billy Crawford? "Honestly, wala kami nun. We just have common friends, like si Raymond Gutierrez. Nagkasama kami sa gimik sa The Fort, pero marami pa kaming ibang kasama." She describes herself as more emotionally mature. "Mas kaya ko nang mag-isa. Unlike before, lagi akong dependent on someone else. Now, I've learned to do things and make decisions on my own." Has Jericho tried to get in touch with her? "Nagpalit na ako ng cellphone number so hindi na niya ko matatawagan. Ayoko na uli magkaroon ng any connection with him kaya nga lahat ng binigay niya sa'kin noon, I put it in a box and I want it returned to him, including souvenirs or photos namin together. I just want to put that episode of my life behind me." Would she like to be friends with him later? "I have no plans. Buti pang wala na lang kahit ano. It's better that way." Well, we can't blame Heart if she wants to erase all memories of Jericho. It'll be recalled that her career took a nosedive when they were together and handled by the same manager. Their "Panday" didn't rate and even her other shows later, like "Hiram na Mukha," also didn't rate well. It's not surprising that she left him and their manager who has done nothing for her career after she left Star Magic. Now, she can be assured of a higher rating show with "Codename: Asero" that started airing last Monday. *** Dingdong Dantes is advised by his doctor to find time to rest and take it easy. He's been taping for "Dyesebel" almost everyday and also is busy with his endorsements and live appearances. He's also leaving on July 17 with Marian Rivera for the "Eat Bulaga" show in Los Angeles, California scheduled on July 19. When he returns on July 22, he'll appear in the Bench show at Araneta Coliseum on July 25 and he's really preparing for this as he'll do the opening number in his briefs. "Kaya wala siyang tigil sa kawo-workoutat kada-diet to make sure okay ang porma ng katawan niya on that day," says someone close to him. "Pero dahil doon, humihina rin ang resistensiya at nagkasakit tuloy kaya nga pinayuhan ng doctor niyang mag-restmuna. Kaya lang, sunod-sunod talaga ang commitments niya." But Dingdong is happy that "Dyesebel" continues to rate 40% and above nightly, making it the undisputable number one show in the country today. The conflict in the show gets even more intense. Betty (Bianca King) forces Dingdong as Fredo to choose between his family and Isabel/Dyesebel (Marian). Betty has discovered Isabel's secret of being a mermaid and Isabel is so scared so she's imploring Betty not to reveal it with anyone. Betty makes Isabel her personal prisoner but Isabel will do everything to be able to escape. In Sirenea, Berbola (Michelle Madrigal) finds out where Amafura (Rufa Mae Quinto) is hiding. She asks Amafura to give her feet and legs so she can go up on land to declare her love for Fredo (Dingdong Dantes). Amafura refuses so she tries her best to snatch Amafura's powers. As for Paolo (Aljur Abrenica), Fonsy (Kevin Santos) lies to him and tells him it's Shiela Mae herself (Kris Bernal) who ordered him to have Paolo beaten up. But Shiela Mae finds out what Fonsy did and tries to help Paolo pass all the classes he previously failed. Fonsy tells Shiela Mae's mom, Ava (Jean Garcia), that she has been kidnapped. *** After Rachel Alejan-dro, another singer-actress won the jackpot in "The Singing Bee." Aiza Se-guerra won not just P1 million but a whopping P2 million! Aiza won P1 million each for two consecutive nights then she decided to voluntarily withdraw to give a chance to others. Tonight and in the next few days, the celebrity players in "The Singing Bee" are Christian Bautista, Jimmy Bondoc, Jinky Vidal of Freestyle, Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang, Ethel Booba, Angelu de Leon, Derek Ramsey, Long Mejia, Anne Curtis, Sam Milby, Luis Manzano and child stars of "Going Bulilit" Sharlene, CJ, Yong, Yngan, Mikyla and Mica. Will they be as lucky as Rachel and Aiza? Find out in "The Singing Bee" after "TV Patrol" on ABS-CBN. *** Rhian Ramos was at the victory party of "My Monster Mom," where she played the young Annabelle Rama. She said she hopes to play Annabelle again if ever they'd do the sequel of the movie. We've seen the movie and she's really good as the young and feisty Annabelle. She also plays the daughter of Ramon Christopher in "Codename: Asero" and is one of Richard Gutierrez's leading ladies. A lot of writers congratulated her for being a fine host in "Pinoy Idol Extra." It's just too bad that her detractors won't stop in their desire to ruin her reputation. The latest scuttlebutt they're circulating about her is that she's trying to seduce Phillip Gozon just to make sure she'll have more projects on GMA-7. "Nakakahiya kay Phillip at pati siya, iniintriga pa," she sighs. "He's the son of GMA President Felipe Gozon. We met only once sa isang party and our picture was taken. Ayun, someone posted it in the internet at ginawaan na kami ng kuwento. Ni hindi nga sweet 'yung picture namin. Ako pa naman, gawi ko 'yung nagha-hug even sa reporters. But that doesn't mean na may relasyon na kami. They tell me huwag na lang pansinin 'yung ganyang intrigues, pero siempre, naba-botherpa rin ako. Tine-trace ko nga how it started kasi when I was introduced sa 'Captain Barbell,' wala namang negative reports on me. I felt tinanggap naman ako ng tao. Pero noong regular na akong nakikita sa TV, ang dami ng naninira. I think it has something to do with my being the niece of Tita Ida Henares (head of GMA Artist Center). They accuse me of nepotism na para bang I'm not worthy of the projects assigned to me. Tapos ikinalat na malandi ako, linking mo to various guys, latest nga kay Marco Alcaraz, kay Kid ng 'Pinoy Idol,' at sa La Salle player na si Simon Atkins, na puro hindi naman totoo. Nakakahiya nga sa guys at pati sila, dinadamay sa paninira sa akin." What can she say to the accusation that she herself is masterminding all these intrigues so that she'd continually be talked about? "I don't think any woman would do such a thing para gumimik lang, 'yung sisirain ang sarili mong pagkatao. That's below being cheap. I'm just thankful na sa kabila ng paninira sa'kin, ayun, nanalo pa rin ako ng breakthrough award sa Golden Screen for 'Ouija.' That provesna hindi totoo 'yung sinasabi ng mga detractors ko na hindi ako marunong umarte." *** "Pinoy Dream Academy" Season 2 had its 4th Gala Performance Night last Saturday with Asian superstars Wu Chun and Calvin Chen as special guests. The two Chinese stars who are members of the boy group called Fahrenheit are currently in Manila to promote their show, "Romantic Princess," now being shown on ABS-CBN. The 12 remaining scholars were paired to form duets and the first to perform were Van and Apple singing "Nobody Wants to Be Lonely." They're the best good-looking pair in PDA. They both have strong screen presence and incandescent star quality. Both 18 and both from Cebu, they also look good together and will form a good love team. Resident juror Louie Ocampo said they gave a very safe performance. Next duet was by Laarni and Inaki, singing "Kung Ako Na Lang Sana." Guest juror Jamie Rivera praised them saying they make a connection with each other and with the audience. Then it was the turn of Bunny and Christian to do "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and juror Gerard Salonga said they're fun to watch. Another couple who got praise was Liezel and Bugoy with "If I Ain't Got You." But the Sen and Cris pair singing "Burn" and Miguel and Bea with "Araw-Gabi" weren't as lucky and ended up at the Bottom Four. The three mentors Ryan Cayabyab, Joey Reyes and Monet Silvestre (Kitchie Molina is currently in Boston) chose to save Cris. The scholars voted and saved Sen. So it was real-life sweethearts Miguel and Bea who remained as probation scholars. Viewers now can text their vote as to who they want to save between them. The next expulsion night will really be painful for Miguel and Bea as it means one of them will have to leave PDA. Our guess is it will be Bea since Miguel is really the much better singer. The past week also saw the two groups in PDA, One Voice and Pupilars, being dissolved by Mr. C. This is to make them all united as one group. "It's time you all help each other, harmonize and work together," said Mr. C. Since they have different personalities, the scholars were also given the personality test called the Enneagram that helped them recognize their personality types. This was helpful in that they got to know their own strengths and weaknesses. They were also given dance lessons under Georcelle Dapat that helped make them well-rounded performers. *** Is it true Nonoy Zuniga resigned from being a part of the Hitmakers that's composed of Rico Puno, Rey Valera and Hajji Alejandro because he was offended by Rico's jokes about him? "No, Rico and I get along fine," Nonoy said at his launching as the endorser of Power Joints for arthritis and osteoarthritis. "Alam ko namang katuwaan lang 'yung jokes niya at biling-bili ng audience. I decided not to be active with the group muna kasi laging abroad angshows nila and I cannot leave now dahil busy ako doing a new album and also, heto nga, kinuha ako na endorser ng Power Joints. Busy rin ako with my family." Nonoy has five kids. The eldest is 20 years old and studying forensic science in Los Angeles. The youngest is 10 and in Grade 4. Does anyone sing like him? "Lahat sila, kumakanta. But I told them to finish their studies first before they try singing seriously." Nonoy is happy to endorse Power Joints as he's been taking it even before they got him to plug it. "Very cautious ako when it comes to product endorsements kasi reputasyon ko ang nakataya rito. But with Power Joints, okay sa'king i-endorse ito as I believe in it. When I lost one of my legs in a bombing incident at the Philippine Plaza more than two decades ago, lahat ng weight ko, napupunta sa natitira kong leg when I'm standing up or when I'm walking, so I have to make sure that the existing cartilage on my remaining leg will not suffer from premature degeneration. That's where Power Joints with glycosamine and chondroitin sulfate as a health and food supplement comes in dahil pino-protektahan nito ang ating mga buto, lalo na ang ating joint cartilage." Power Joints cost P944 per bottle of 30 caps. Nonoy is the organizer of the Wheelchair Race at the Quezon Memorial Circle at Elliptical Road, Quezon City on July 20, 6 a.m., sponsored by Power Joints. This is in line with the celebration of the 30th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with the theme "Kapag May Access, May Success."
