STAR Magic talent Valeen Montenegro regrets that her maternal grandpa, Mario Montenegro, had already died when she was born.

"But I heard quite a lot of things about him," she stated. "Na siya raw ang pinaka-guwapong actor ng kanyang panahon. Personification daw siya ng lalaking referred to as tall, dark and handsome."

Valeen is the one of the two children (the older one is a boy) of Honeylet, the second child of Mario and his wife, actress Letty Alonzo. Marilyn, Mario and Letty’s elder child, live in New York with her family.

"Kami, we reside in Las Piñas," says Valeen. "My dad (surnamed Vicente) is a soccer instructor. He is Spanish."

Valeen started as a commercial model. She is now with Star Magic and has appeared in several TV shows, such as "About Your Luv," "Crazy for You" and "Ysabella."

She is effective in kontrabida roles, like what she did in "Your Song Presents…Underage."

"I heard that during her time as an actress, my Lola Letty was also assigned kontrabida roles," she said.

Valeen dabbles in TV hosting. She hosted "Mp3" with Paolo Valenciano on TV5.

Currently, she appears in the TV5 gag show, "Lokomoko."

Valeen is determined to finish college. She is taking up fashion design and merchandising at the St. Benilde University.

Valeen turned 19 last June 10.

We asked Valeen why she broke up with Victor Basa, who is playing a priest in the top-rated series, "May Bukas Pa."

"Victor and I were never on," she explained. "Although, puwedeng sabihing nanligaw siya sa akin."

Right now, Valeen is going steady with a non-showbiz guy, who is the son of one of her dad’s friends.

Victor denies the report that he and Saab Magalona, the daughter of the late Francis Magalona, are sweethearts. He claims he is still loveless.

Like Valeen, Victor also started as a commercial model and is now a Star Magic talent.

He is one of the busiest in his group. He is doing one project after another. He is a regular of "ASAP ’09" and hosts "Shall We Dance" and MTV.

He has had the chance to do movies, too. He was in Cinema One Original’s "Maling Akala" and the indie film, "Xenoa 2."

He was nominated in the Breakthrough Performance By An Actor category from "Xenoa 2" in Empress Awards.

He is an endorser of the Calayan Surgicentre.

He was a participant in a recent fashion show for the clothing company, Penshoppe.

Guess who are getting married this year aside from Rica Peralejo, who recently announced her engagement to Pastor Joseph Bonifacio?

Well, we heard that former bold actress Klaudia Koronel is busy preparing for her wedding to Andy Zhang, whom she got to know during her stay in the US.

They are planning to wed on August 28.

Venue for the wedding is the Iglesia Ni Kristo on Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.

Klaudia is an active Iglesia Ni Kristo member.

They will honeymoon in Hongkong.

Contrary to speculations, Roselle Nava, who popularized the song, "Mahal Na Mahal Kita," has not turned her back on singing, more so, in recording.

Roselle is getting married this year to her boyfriend of eight years, Allen Tan.

She has no idea yet where the wedding will take place, as it is Allen’s parents who are doing the preparations. What she knows is that it has been set for December.

Now a Viva Recording artist, she’s currently recording a CD.

She will be doing a concert with Rachel Alejandro, Geneva Cruz and Jessa Zaragosa to be called "Ladies of the ‘90s." It is set on August 29 at the Skydome, SM North EDSA.

Then of course, there’s the marriage between TV newscaster and host Korina Sanchez and presidentiable Mar Roxas. And Michelle Eimeren, Ogie Alcasid’s ex-wife, to her Australian fiancé.

Ogie and Michelle have two daughters.
