Still, many of his fans are hoping that his friendship with fellow ex- Pinoy Big Brother teen housemate Nicole Uysiuseng will eventually bloom into romance. While the two made for a striking couple when they arrived together at SMX for the PMPC Star Awards last November 30, Robi was quick to dismiss the idea of a romance between them. Though he fetched Nicole from her condo that night, Robi clarified that it was a matter of convenience rather than the desire to impress a girl he's courting. "Actually ito naman lagi sagot ko, Nicole and I are good friends. In fact kasama namin si Josef (Elizalde) dun mismo sa event. Nauna lang si Josef dumating sa SMX kasi galing siya ng Mandaluyong. Eh nag-usap-usap kami. Sabi ko [ kay Nicole], 'Since manggagaling ako sa book launch (of Ricky Lee's Para Kay B at UP's Bahay Ng Alumni) sabi ko ako na bahala magsundo sa 'yo'. So I picked her up from her unit," he revealed to ABS-CBN.com. The young heartthrob further explained that his closeness with Nicole has never been an issue between him and Josef who's rumored to be courting the pretty Cebuana. " Tulad nun, nag-usap naman kami para hindi na hassle kay Josef. And kung ano man meron kay Nikki (as she is fondly called by her close friends and fans alike) and Josef hands-off ako dun," he explained. Robi also refused to admit the real score between the two other than they are "very good friends." When told that a lot of Robicole (Robi and Nicole) fans want them to be together, Robi stresses that it's hard for him to imagine Nicole being other than a friend or a sister. "I find her really pretty pero we treat each other as friends. Parang lang kaming magkapatid, brother and sister lang. If you ask her ganoon din sasabihin nun, na brother lang ang tingin niya sa akin. Basta makulit lang kaming dalawa. So siguro minsan nabibigyan lang ng kulay," he admitted.
