| It's a different Thou Reyes in 'Ang Tanging Pamilya'![]() Author: Rachelle Siazon After playing a gay role in I Love Betty La Fea, Thou Reyes will next be seen as the rapper son of Ai-Ai de las Alas and Joseph Estrada in the movie Ang Tanging Pamilya. It's his first time to work with some of the cast members, but that didn't stop him from bonding with them, as was seen last Friday, October 16, during the pictorial for the said movie. "Actually kahit nung natigil yung shooting namin due to the previous calamities, parang 'di kami nabakante when we went back to work this week. Ganon pa rin yung chemistry . Masaya pa rin. Lalo na kapag kumpleto yung Pamilyang Sikat. Panganay namin si Toni (Gonzaga), si Janus (del Prado), ako, tapos yung three kids na. Bale five boys and eldest si Toni," he began. The versatile actor/dancer even let us in on some of the funny scenes that moviegoers should watch out for in this film. " Isa dun yung nakikipagchat si Toni kay Sam (Milby) na nasa States. Long distance relationship kasi sila. Nakakatawa kasi tuwing makikipagchat si Toni, nakabongggang-bonggang damit pero nakatsinelas pa rin kasi nasa bahay lang naman siya, tsaka webcam lang. Siyempre alaskado siya sa aming mga magkakapatid. Of course marami ding magagandang eksena sina Mommy Dionisia (Pacquiao) and Ms. Ai-Ai. So for sure mas matutuwa sila dito," he stressed. Though they are busy shooting the latter part of Ang Tanging Pamilya, Thou still took part in Star Magic's recent benefit fashion show-Magic for a Cause-and the rehearsals for their upcoming concert for a cause next month. "Excited kami hindi lang dahil it's one way para magkasama-sama ulit ang Star Magic artists, kundi makakatulong ulit kami sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo. We're looking forward to the Star Magic Concert at Araneta Coliseum kasi yung mga hinandang production numbers pang world-class talaga. I'll be dancing again with Mickey (Perz) kasi kami yung magka-teammate talaga plus some other artists," he proudly stated. Donating their talent fee and working extra hours for this much-awaited event is nothing compared with the sense of fulfillment that they get in helping the victims of Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng. " Siyempre kahit pagod ka sa kakatrabaho the whole day, kapag matutulog ka masarap pa rin yung pakiramdam kasi alam mo that the time you just spent was worth it. Alam mo na yung ginawa mo hindi lang fulfilling para sa sarili mo because you're doing what you love-dancing and acting- pero at the same time nakatulong ka pa rin," he added. Ever since Thou figured in a car accident several months ago, he began to question his real purpose in life. And somehow, being a part of a good cause is one way to thank God for keeping him alive. "It's a wake up call even at this young age. I hope yun na yung pinakamatindi na pwedeng mangyari. Pero who knows. Siguro yung sinasabi nilang palagi dapat maging ready sa mga nangyayari. At the same time, yung talent kasi is God-given so dapat alagaan at gamitin ng maayos. Fame is man-given so dapat humble lang." Source: ABS-CBN Interactive |
