Joross Gamboa says he has a lot to be happy about. And happily, he looks it. He sounds really happy, like when we had a short conversation with him when we bumped into each other at the Camsur Water Sports Complex for the exclusive birthday event of Aga Muhlach.

''I thank Kuya Aga for counting me as a friend,'' he said. ''He is the reason why I took a liking to wakeboarding, which is really an engaging sport.

''For two years now, I've always been invited to his exclusive birthday parties.

''I came to know some of his friends, a mix of showbiz and non-showbiz. Mababait sila."

Joross has lately been kept busy with showbiz work. He has just finished filming two independent films, "A Faraway Life," which serves as the directorial debut of Tim Fitzharris, an American photographer and landscape artist, and "Bigasan," which has Joven Tan at the helm.

He was also featured, along with Mark Abaya, in the series, "Your Song Presents…. Babalik Kang Muli," starring Cristine Reyes.

He will soon star in an ABS-CBN afternoon soap, "Pat is Tin," with Valerie Concepcion and John Avila.

Joross is also currently enrolled at Southville International School in Las Pinas, where he is taking up MassCom.

He was a nursing student before joining a reality show on ABS-CBN.

From the successful "Boys Over Flower Over Acting," the group will now spoof the must-see series, "Dahil May Isang Hikaw."

A new segment which will sure delight the late afternoon viewers of "Banana Split" is "Sosyal, Pasosyal, Wa Sosyal."

The show promises to present exclusive interviews on stars, who will answer questions that other talk shows have never dared ask them.

Two true singing champions, Rachelle Ann Go and Jed Madela, are featured together for the first time in a concert on October 24 at the Skydome at SM North Edsa.

Dubbed as an evening of music and romance, the Rachelle Ann-Jed concert is aptly dubbed as "True Champions: Best of the Best." Producer is Viva Concerts & Events.

Rachelle was named first prize winner in the "Search for Star" singing contest. She later won the Silver Trophy in the Shanghai Asia Music Festival.

Jed won the Grand Prize at the World Championship of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles, where he defeated 3000 entries from 52 countries.

A few years before, Jed won the Silver Medal and the Best Male Singer Award at the "Voice of Asia" contest.

The Skydome at North Edsa is the newest happening place for concerts in Metro Manila and Viva Concerts and Events has several special shows including one with Claire de la Fuente and Jose Marie Chan for the first time. Both considered hit icons, their concert will be called "Simply Unforgettable."

This is obviously what she has in common with actor Ricky Davao, whose alleged girlfriend, Sari Yap, is president of Mega Publishing Group, which comes out with, among others, S Magazine and Celebrity Living.
