Jennylyn's comeback being derailed?

Jennylyn Mercado's comeback trail has been a roller coaster ride for her. After the failed relationship with Patrick Garcia to her giving birth, seemingly inevitable circumstances come her way. And while her comeback vehicle is being readied, some people tag her as "laos. "

Especially when she had a brush with some press people during the baptismal rite for her son. She describes the affair as a private one, and was she surprised to see photographers clicking away and some TV crews taking some footages.

She threatened to sue those who will publish the photos in said affair without her consent.

We think anything in regards to her personal life especially with her child should be respected and separated from her life in showbusiness.

We also beg to disagree that she is"laos" as even Kris Aquino said that Jen now has a much stronger appeal. "Ang puti-puti at ang kinis-kinis niya," Kris was quoted as saying.

Jennylyn is about to make her grandest comeback via a teleserye entitled "Paano Ba Ang Mangarap?" She co-stars once more with her showbiz original love team mate (and boyfriend), Mark Herras.

So will these intrigues destroy her reputation and foil her bid to gain the showbiz status she is aiming for again? Just asking...

YEAR OF THE "OKS" FOR ALFRED

Alfred Vargas vows to be more active in showbiz this year. The former Kapamilya star, whose career grew by leaps and bounds after joining the Kapuso network, took a break last December by going on a pleasure trip. But now he's back, energized and eager as ever to face the challenges in the Year of the Ox.

For a start, Alfred is playing the role of KC Concepcion's boyfriend in "When I Met U," the Valentine's Day offering of GMA Films and Regal Entertainment. And he'd like to thank Annabelle Rama for choosing him for the role when a change in the casting was effected.

He considers it a big honor to be a part of the Valentine movie that also stars Richard Gutierrez. It's not only always that one gets the chance to be in a Valentine movie. Alfred is even more excited because he got the chance to work with KC and with Richard as well.

A self-confessed Sharon Cuneta fan, Alfred says it was fun to work with KC. And having worked with the daughter, he's also wishing to be able to work with the megastar. He didn't expect that Sharon knows him. But last year, Alfred recalled, he bumped into Sharon at the GMA Studio.

The hunk in Alfred said, "She talked to me. I said wow! The megastar knows my name. Ever since, I've been a Sharon Cuneta fan. "

He's also in the cast of "Status: Single" which features Rufa Mae Quinto in the title role. The movie is directed by Jose Javier Reyes, whom Alfred earlier worked with in "I Wanna Be Happy" for Seiko Films.

Aside from this, Alfred is also reportedly slated to be in the new TV series "All About Eve" that will co-star him with Richard Gomez, Sunshine Dizon and Iza Calzado. He still doesn't know who he will be paired with although he has worked with Sunshine and Iza in "Encantadia. "

Regardless of whom, it'll be certain he'll knot a crack out of the role itself.

For Alfred's year so busy will he even have time planning and consider running a seat in the local government next year? Just asking....

COWBOY SKECHERS

ANOTHER fun night it was we witnessed as Skechers held their Christmas party with a theme which was uniquely Western in setting.

Kicking off that fun night were performances from celebrities like Christian Bautista, Sam Concepcion, Aljur Abrenica, Prince Stefan, Megan Young, Melissa Ricks, Hero Angeles and PJ Valerio. They were all present and each of them performed for most of the staff of the shoe company.

That fun night capped off with fun and games. Each of them had their cowboy and cowgirl outfits respectively.

Fun to see some artists endorsing some of their respective shows.

Interestingly seeing the union of some such as Sam and PJ. They both have shows such as ASAP for Sam and now SOP for PJ, widely known as competitive head to head shows.

But friends as the two teens are, they weren't seemingly distant with each other as far as their respective shows were concerned.

A fun night indeed. Thanks to the famous Ms. Nona for inviting us and more power to you all.
