| Joey: Its about time for Alma to be happy![]() Author: Ethel Ramos When Joey Marquez reportedly learned of the marriage of ex-wife Alma Moreno, to a Mayor of a Mindanao town, he was overheard saying: "Im happy for her. Its about time na maging happy siya." Joey and Alma were husband and wife for eight years. Their marriage was annulled in 2004, two years after they called it quits. They have three children: Yeoj, Wynwyn and VJ. They have an adopted child, Em, who they both treat as their own. Alma was the only girl Joey married. In all the years that he was Parañaque mayor, Alma was his First Lady. That he has children with other women, Joey doesnt deny. With starlet Brenda del Rio, Joey has two, Jowee Ann and Zia. With Francesca, he has Jeremy. In a magazine interview, Joey said that when his marriage to Alma was annulled, he vowed never to marry again. And he has never kept this a secret to any woman he gets involved with. "My children will now be my priority," he related in his interview. Now that he is older, Joey prefers the simple life. Although he has no intentions of quitting showbiz totally, he is still in touch with his talent manager, Douglas Quijano, who still has for his talents, Richard Gomez, Lucy Torres, Anjo Yllana, Jomari Yllana, Antonio Aquitania and Wendell Ramos. *** Todays fad is to sparkle not just on the outside but inside as well. Fanny is currently the President of the Philippine International Cosmetologists Association (PICA) which, together with Pioneer Events Plus Group, Inc., will hold a one-stop shop event for Beauty, Wellness and Trends on February 26 to 28 at the SMX Convention Center. The goal of "Cosmetology 2009: Beauty, Wellness and Trends" is to educate the attendees, whether those from the beauty business or those who want to enter the industry. It is considered the biggest trade show of its kind in the Philippines. Icons from the beauty industry will be available not just to discuss trends but to also to teach the participants. Fanny will talk about professional make-up techniques and Toni and GuYs Cherry Reyes will talk about the latest hair colors, cuts and styles. Several seminar rooms will showcase the latest techniques and business opportunities in the beauty and wellness industries. A Touch of Excellence Awards will be handed out during the three-day event to some of the undiscovered talents from all over the country.
