Joey tells Willie: Sorry, I can't accept your sorry

Veteran comedian-TV host Joey de Leon's feud with Wowowee host Willie Revillame is far from finished.

"Sorry, hindi ko matatanggap ang sorry mo," said bluntly by Joey yesterday, September 8, in Startalk during an interview with co-hosts Lorna Tolentino, Butch Francisco, and Lolit Solis.

Willie and Joey are the subjects of talks and controversies for weeks now after the two verbally attacked each other through their respective noontime variety shows at the wake of the game-rigging accusation against Willie's program.

Joey de Leon, kaibigan, pare, from my heart, I'm so sorry kung nasaktan kita. Pero tandaan mo, idol pa rin kita," Willie apologized to the veteran comedian last September 4, Tuesday, on Wowowee.

JOEY'S CONDITION Apparently, Joey laid out some conditions on how the apology should be carried out which he felt was not entirely met by his rival.

It can be recalled that when Willie lambasted Joey in his show last August 29, his two co-hosts, Valerie Concepcion and Mariel Rodriguez, joined him on stage to comfort him. Valerie, who just joined Wowowee a few weeks ago, also got emotional and shed some tears.

Joey immediately acknowledged that this latest comment might earn him the ire of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairman Consoliza Laguardia once agaon.

"Alam ko medyo magtatampo na naman sa akin si Chairman dito, pero 'yon naman ang pinag-usapan natin e," he justified his reaction.

NOT PART OF NETWORK WARS Clearing the networks from the ongoing rift, Joey made clear that he has nothing against ABS-CBN as an organization as what some people were implying.

The Eat Bulaga! host then proceeded to convey his love and gratitude to his former home network.

Joey also took pride in the fact that he is the only one who was able to work for all the TV networks in the Philippines. -
