| | John Lloyd Cruz on finding love again: 'I am not ready for any commitment yet' Author: Rachelle Siazon PMPC Star of the Night John Lloyd Cruz had no choice but to answer questions about his much-speculated breakup with girlfriend Liz Uy during the press launch of his new Biogesic for kids commercial last May 29 at ABS-CBN compound. Though he didn't go into details, it was pretty clear that the two had called it quits and that he was keeping quiet about it out of respect for Liz. "Wow. So straight. So early in the day. Ako I'd be honest oh ah and ito lang yung talagang mabibigay ko. This is a very sensitive issue and nagma-matter yung pagiging lalaki mo. Bilang lalaki, you always try to be as gentleman as possible. Reporters then asked the actor in a roundabout way about how time can help him cope with the split-up. " Kung tinanong mo sa akin itong question na ito a few months back (when he was still busy shooting You Changed My Life and I Love Betty La Fea), talagang time wasn't my friend. Pero ngayon, kahit papaano, I get my days off so there's time to be with my family, loved ones, and friends. So malaking factor yung time in terms of coping with many things hindi lang during heartaches. Everyday you're coping eh. Everyday you're trying to cope with kung anu-anong factors in this world. Pero ewan ko, kayo ku ng may gusto kayong itanong (about his love life), mahirap kasing i-generalize ang mga bagay-bagay eh," he explained. John Lloyd was also quick to reject rumors that his former I Love Betty La Fea co-star Ruffa Gutierrez has something to do with the breakup. Siyempre patapos na yung show so halos every week nagpa-party kami. Tapos alam mo ngang magkakahiwalay na so napadalas yung mga cast party namin, kasama pa yung every time na may magbi-birthday na member ng cast. So marami kami eh, every time I go to party magkakasama kami. And doon nagsimulang lumaki ng lumaki yung issue." He further clarified that there was never a time that he went out with Ruffa alone. "No, never, not once," he stressed. As for those who accuse him and Ruffa of doing the dirty deed in a hotel room, John Lloyd reiterated how disgusted he is with such false reports. I think it's very immoral. I don't think gagawa ng ganung bagay si Ruffa para madumihan yung pangngalan nila na iningatan nila for the longest time in this industry." Nevertheless, the dashing actor admitted that it's possible for him to fall in love with someone like Ruffa Gutierrez but not just because she has everything a man could ever ask for. Because in reality, kapag tinanggihan mo siya, lalo ka niyang yayakapin. So kapag nangyari sa akin yun, I mean, hindi ko sinasarado ang kahit na ano sa isang Ruffa Gutierrez ngayon because you'll never know. As for getting into a new relationship, the actor replied, "Well mahirap pa rin. I don't think I'm ready for any commitment at this point." Source: ABS-CBN Interactive |
