Dingdong Dantes could only laugh at reports that Marian Rivera and Rhian Ramos don't see eye-to-eye, and all because of him.

Reports have it that he actually caused the current hostility between the two. Marian, as alleged, feels jealous of Rhian because of the special attention Dingdong is giving her.

Rhian plays Dingdong's leading lady in the new series, "Stairway to Heaven," a Korean series which GMA 7 has adapted.

"That's exactly not true. I may be kind and nice to Rhian pero professional lang ang samahan namin," Dingdong says with a laugh. "Mabait si Rhian. At magaling umarte.

"Besides, Marian knows me. She knows how I feel about her. And we trust each other."

Dingdong and Rhian play the popular characters of Cholo and Jodi in "Stairway…" Co-starring with them are Glaiza de Castro as Eunice, Jean Garcia as Maita and TJ Trinidad as Tristan.

Also in the series are Sandy Andolong as Ms. Zoila, Jestoni Alarcon as Arch. Jovan Reyes, Soliman Cruz as Dindo, Joshua Dionisio as the young Cholo, Barbie Forteza as the young Jodi and Joan Marie Tan as the young Eunice.

"Stairway to Heaven," according to GMA 7 insiders, was the network's highest-rating primetime "Koreanovela" in 2005. It generated a large following and fascination among Filipinos.

The series revealed the complexities of love in real life, the magic which it creates for the two people who love each other very much and the bond between them which cannot be broken.

Two A-list directors, Bb. Joyce Bernal and Andoy Ranay, are at the helm of the series. They describe it as more than just a tearjerker with a poignant tale and unforgettable characters from beginning to end.

The series possesses all the facets of a classic drama that stands out, especially because of its locales, the picturesque Subic, Zambales and Enchanted Kingdom.

"Stairway to Heaven" began airing Monday.

It looks like Jolina Magdangal has developed the courage to now admit that Mark Escueta, drummer of the popular band, Rivermaya, is her boyfriend.

For a while, she was quite secretive about the current status of their relationship. Although others have been saying that she and Mark have a relationship, she had insisted that they are merely pals.

Do we finally hear wedding bells for Jolina?

It's a high time she walk down the aisle. After all, Judy Ann Santos, her contemporary and former rival, is now married and can hardly wait to have her first baby with husband Ryan Agoncillo.

For a while, Jolina was going steady with lawyer Bebong Muñoz. She was even in the forefront when Atty. Bebong ran for a local office in one election.

Unfortunately, Atty. Bebong didn't win.

Truth to tell, it's a great puzzle why the wedding of Jolina and Atty. Bebong – supposed to happen after the elections – didn't happen.

Atty. Bebong is back in the US practicing law.

When Anne Curtis and Sam Milby were seen together in the Star Magic Ball a few Sundays ago, it was assumed that their romance would be rekindled.

But it looks like it's not meant to be.

Meanwhile, we ask this question: How true are reports that Sam feels a special attraction to Maja Salvador? Reports even added that they have been seen together lately.

But alas, while they admit they do go out together, they are always with a group of other friends, said Sam.

People close to Maja think this early, it's unlikely that she will fall in love again soon. While she admits that her second split-up with Carlo Aquino is more of her decision, she cannot help but still feel some pain.

Again, like their first break-up, Maja is not talking about the real reason why they broke up for the second time.

Don't look now, but guess how President Erap reacted when he first met Ai Ai de las Alas.

"Ay, maganda ka pala sa personal," the former president blurted.

To which Ai Ai reportedly countered: "Ganun ho ba? O, sige, kiss mo ako."

President Erap and Ai Ai play husband and wife in their first film together, "Ang Tanging Pamilya." In the movie, they lock lips.

A Star Cinema production, "Ang Tanging Pamilya" is directed by Wean Deramas and also stars Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby. Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao is introduced.
