Aiko Melendez had a minor accident recently. She slipped in her bathroom.

It was a good thing she didn’t suffer any fracture. "Ninerbiyos lang siya," said a kibitzer. "Pero mabuti na rin sa kanya nangyari, ‘di sa mga bata."

Aiko has two children, Andrei, 10, her son with Jomari Yllana, and Marthena, 2, with second husband, Martin Jickain.

Aiko, a councilor of Quezon City, has Bulacan Vice Mayor Patrick Mendez for her current boyfriend.

She was the featured actress in last week’s "Maalaala Mo Kaya.

Meet Rhap Salazar, the top winner in the "Little Big Star" search andhis runners-up, Makisig Morales, Kyle Halili and Mica Roi Torre.

How are they, one year after winning?

"Ako po," said Rhap, "I’m okay. My family and I are now permanent residents of Quezon City."

The Salazars, according to Rhap, are from Mindoro. After winning the "Little Big Star" title, his parents decided to transfer to Manila.

"Kasi nagkaroon ho ako ng offer to do the role of the chubby Kapampangan kid in the fantasy series, ‘Kokey’."

He hasn’t had an assignment since.

"But we get by," he related. "Nag-ge-guest din ho ako sa mga TV shows ng ABS-CBN. And my mom is in the business of selling Italian silver. Nasa real estate business naman ang fatherko."

Except for the money which Rhap’s mom got from his P1 million cash prize (which is around P800,000 minus the taxes), the rest of his winnings is in the bank for his college studies.

Rhap is a Grade VI student of Aurora A. Quezon Elementary School in Quezon City.

Makisig Morales became busy right after the contest. He was immediately signed up by Star Records and had come up with an album, "Oldies and Kiddies."

He also became the co-host of Sarah Geronimo in "Little Big Superstar 2." He is currently the lead singer of Mak and The Dudes.

Makisig has also ventured into acting and played the title role in the fantaserye, "Super Inggo." In "Pedro Penduko in the City," he played Moy, one of the engkanto.

Makisig has appeared in two movies, "Supahpapalicious" with Vhong Navarro and Valerie Concepcion and "Caregiver" with Sharon Cuneta.

Kyle Balili was the second runner-up in "Little Big Star." He has, so far, appeared in several TV series, including "Sana Maulit Muli," where he played Tam, the friend of Poknat (later played by Kim Chiu) and "Prinsesa ng Banyera," where he was assigned the role of Bukol.

Kyle also played the young Vhong Navarro in Supahpapalicous.

A Grade 4 student at the University of the East, Kyle will be featured in "Utoy," which will star Comedy King Dolphy and Makisig.

Mica Roi Torre, meanwhile, was a finalist in the "Little Big Star" tilt. But she is as busy as Rhap, Makisig and Kyle.

Like the three boys, she has appeared on TV shoes, first as the young Sarah Geronimo in "Bituing Walang Ningning" and as Ula, the daughter of Chokoleit, in "Prinsesa ng Banyera." She was also in "Kokey."

Currently a Grade 5 student at the Villa Cecilia Academy, Mica is active in theater. She proudly reveals that she is a protégé of director Nestor Torre.

She pays the young Sto. Pio in a stage play about the healing saint. She was also seen last October 25 in the repeat of the musical "Birhen ng Caysaysay" in Taal, Batangas.

In the musical "Cory," which has Nestro Torre at the helm, she plays the young Cory Aquino. Isay Alvarez plays the adult Cory.
