KC clears Sharon cancer rumors

MANILA - Actress KC Concepcion stressed that her mother, Sharon Cuneta, is "in good and healthy condition", contrary to tabloid reports that the Megastar has cancer.

"Well, I'd rather not comment sa negative [reports] because we are very happy that she's in good health and working on her new movie. And she is very happy right now. We are just thankful that she is happy and healthy," Concepcion said.

Cuneta had revealed to host Boy Abunda on "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon" that doctors found a lump in her breast. She said the lump was found to be benign.

Reports later circulated that Cuneta was diagnosed with breast cancer. Cuneta later denied this in an interview on "The Buzz" last October 18.

Currently, Cuneta is shooting for Regal Film's movie "Mano Po 6", which is one of the official entries to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

Concepcion, meanwhile, is busy taping for ABS-CBN's remake of Korea's hit series "Lovers in Paris" with Piolo Pascual.

Concepcion revealed that aside from television series, she might be doing a film with Pascual soon.

"Matutuloy 'yon in God's grace. Pero wala pang specific date. But I'm sure it's sooner than we think," Concepcion said.
