HOW true is it that KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual had their own reception during the Judy Ann Santos-Ryan Agoncillo wedding in Batangas?

Heard that KC left early during the wedding reception, but it was not known where she went. Heard that Piolo was also in the area, but since he was not invited to the Juday-Ryan wedding, it was said that he simply enjoyed vacationing alone.

Meanwhile, KC will be with mom Sharon Cuneta for her US concert tour. KC's happy that she's now making it on her own. She recently won the Breakthrough Performance by an Actress in the 6th Golden Screen Awards for Movies and Entertainment for her role in Star Cinema 's "For The First Time," opposite debonair Richard Gutierrez.

Her dad, Gabby Concepcion, was with her when she accepted the award. At least, KC's award wasn't tainted at all.

Come election time, Sharon will surely be busy helping husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan who's said to be running for Vice President. KC, who's close to Sen. Kiko, will surely do her part.

BAYANI'S ASSURANCE

MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando gave licensed hawkers an assurance as he asked the 16 cities and lone municipality in Metro Manila to do their share by providing vendors market space at affordable prices. "We are just enforcing the law for their welfare," Fernando pointed out.

To prove his point, the MMDA chief cited as an example the success story of Wilfredo Aga and his wife, Nenita, who were among the illegal vendors in Marikina City in 1992.

Fernando, then the newly elected mayor of Marikina, declared some areas around the public market as market zone where vendors could sell their wares without being arrested or harassed by law enforcers. The Aga couple seized the opportunity to conduct business legally. Their fish selling business flourished and grew.

Fernando asked local government executives to humanize their campaign against illegal vendors by offering them an alternative to unlawful vending. He pointed out though, that sidewalks are for the public , especially pedestrians, adding that the Supreme Court has ruled that sidewalks are beyond the commerce of men. The MMDA has so far cleared 2,000 kilometers of the targeted 3,000 kilometers of roads in Metro Manila.
