Kapuso, Kapamilya stars unite

IN a clear and unprecedented show of support for the presidential bid of Senator Noynoy Aquino, Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda rallied ABS CBN and GMA 7 stars to team up and successfully produce an MTV entitled "Hindi ka Nag-iisa," which will be aired consecutively on "TV Patrol World" and "Eat Bulaga. "

More than just a force to be reckoned with as a campaign medium because of its star power, the MTV more significantly dissolved the lines of professional loyalty between Kapuso and Kapamilya stars giving the symbolic message of unity.

For a country broken and torn in different directions because of the opposing vested interests of several political groups, the MTV shows proof of the concept that we are capable of selflessness when something greater than ourselves calls. The message is heartening because it shows us hope.

However, it looks like the message of unity and hope is also applicable to what is perceived as opposing factions within Senator Noynoy's own Liberal Party.

Would the Liberal Party take this message of unity to heart, erase dissensions, disillusionment, foiled ambitions within its ranks and give all-out support to Senator Noynoy? Would the Senator Noynoy magic in time gain full and solid support of all members of the Liberal Party? Just asking.... .

WHAT IS LIFE FOR SARAH
MORE mature roles are usually given to young stars who have grown into young adults. The teenagers of before who played wholesome roles in movies are now expected to have lived life a little and to have acquired experiences that would serve as deeper source from where more believable portrayal of emotions could be drawn.

Stars like Maja Salvador and Erich Gonzales have started transforming their image by giving life to more daring roles in projects like "Nagsi-mula sa Puso" and "Katorse" respectively.

Some believe that much has to be improved, though, when it comes to Sarah Geronimo's efforts to portray roles that are more in keeping with her age because she is seen not to have the depth of experience required.

Kept too busy with her career, Sarah remains to have the sensitivity of a teenager. Said teenager sensitivity is reflected as inexperience in her acting performance. To keep up, it is opined that Sarah should live life and not study life.

Granted that depth of experience is invaluable in anyone's acting performance, how far would Sarah go as far as experiencing life is concerned to hone her acting and singing crafts? Just asking. ... .

THE KINDNESS IN ROBIN
NOTHING compares to having a brother like Robin Padilla.

Believing in the artistic abilities of his brother, Robin gave Bebe Gandanghari a car as downpayment for the movie project that the latter would have to direct and star in it as well.

What comes as a surprise though was the announcement that Bebe would be directing and starring in an action project.

It is not everyday that anyone is given a chance like the one Robin gave his brother. It shows Robin's kindness especially to those who deserve it. In fact, even with his daughter Queenie's "lovelife" so to speak, he has kind words lately for suitor PJ Valerio (a regular co-host of Kuya Germs' Walang Tulugan and SOP on GMA7).

Meanwhile, it is really difficult to reconcile the image that Bebe Gandang hari is projec-ting to the public and most especially directing an action film.

Does Robin really see the potential in Bebe Gandanghari's acting and directing abilities or is his perception clouded by the fact that he is his brother and that he would go out of his way to help him? Just asking....
