Karylle clarifies present status of her lovelife

Karylle's love life continues to keep the public guessing. After being linked to Jericho Rosales and Christian Bautista, rumor has it that the singer-actress is now dating radio jock Sam Gogna, better known as Sam Y G of Magic 89.9.

"Siguro 'pag may nakita sila na kasama ko or nakakausap baka iniisip kaagad na baka may romantic something. Pero, di ba, hindi naman yata masama magkaroon ng bagong kaibigan, especially for me? Feeling ko, mas madami akong natututunan sa mga taong nakakausap ko or nakakasama ko. Mas iba 'yong insight na nabibigay nila sa akin," explained Karylle.

PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the entertainment press had the chance to talk to Karylle earlier today, August 12, at Masas restaurant in Greenbelt, Makati City.

Karylle was chosen by Pacific Healthcare Inc. to endorse Hiruscar--a new technologically advanced scar care product from Switzerland.

STILL LIVING THE SINGLE LIFE. Karylle once again stressed that she remains unattached. Her social activities currently involves going out in groups, which is understandably composed of both boys and girls.

"Actually, madami akong friends," she said. "Hindi ko naman sila iisa-isahin. Tsaka hindi ko naman kailangan. At this point na wala akong boyfriend, hindi ko naman siguro kailangan pang ikuwento kasi siyempre kailangan ko naman i-respect 'yong privacy nung mga tao, nakakahiya naman sa kanila."

Aside from meeting new people and having more time to devote to her work, being single allows Karylle to see more of her friends--a luxury she never had every time that she's in a relationship

"Kunwari tonight, kasama ko 'yong mga classmates ko sa college. I mean, nabibigyan ko na ng time 'yong mga iba't ibang kaibigan. Kasi ako 'pag nagkaroon ako ng boyfriend, hindi ako lumalabas with other people or parang nakakalimutan ko 'yong friends ko. Malalaman na lang nila na may problema dahil bigla akong susulpot," she said.

HEALING. Much has been said about Karylle's breakup with ex-boyfriend Dingdong Dantes. If you ask Karylle, she would rather not discuss her past relationship anymore since she had already picked up the pieces following the heartbreaking experience.

And since the product she's currently representing treat scars, we asked Karylle if the emotional wound caused by the breakup has completely healed.

Turning philosophical, she replied, "Ang philosophy ko diyan, 'yong pag-iisip ko diyan ever since I was a kid, parang kung nabi-break man yong heart mo 'pag ni-replace mo siya ng something, parang mas nagiging makintab siya. Parang feeling ko, ganun ang mga puso, e. Kung dati red siya, tapos 'pag may nasirang part, lalagyan mo ng konting ginto or diamond, so mas nagiging maganda siya. Patse-patse nga lang, pero mas maganda."
