| | Karylle denies there's any tension between her with Kristine Hermosa Author: Napoleon Quintos After breaking up with long time boyfriend Dingdong Dantes and moving to ABS-CBN, Karylle has been linked to other actors, including Jericho Rosales. While both have denied that anything romantic is going on between them, this hasn't stopped people from speculating about them, especially now that they'll be staring in the teleserye Komiks Presents: Maruja with Kristine Hermosa. Komiks Presents: Maruja will be Karylle's first full-length series as a Kapamilya, where she will be playing the half-sister of Kristine's character. At the pictorial of Komiks Presents: Maruja, Karylle was asked if there was any tension between her and Kristine, considering the latter used to date Jericho. " Wala naman kaming dapat pag-usapan [ ni Kristine]. ' Yung sa amin ni Echo nachi-chismis lang kami. Minsan napag-uusapan naming lahat, biruan lang. Wala namang tension [ sa amin ni Kristine]." On the contrary, Karylle said that she and Kristine have become close friends because of Maruja. " Magkasama kami sa standby area namin. Minsan nagshe-share kami ng mga music, nagku-kwentuhan. Friend ko siya. She's very welcoming. Sinasabi ko dati I had been wanting to work with her. Iniisip ko baka sa movie makasama ko siya. Hindi ko ine-expect na makakasama ko siya sa TV." The pretty Karylle revealed that she finds Kristine beautiful. "I got star struck nang sobra sa kanya lalo na nung mga first taping days namin together. Tumitingin ako sa kanya, sinasabi ko, 'Ang ganda-ganda mo, ang puti-puti mo.'"
After her much-publicized breakup late last year, Karylle has been vocal about how she is enjoying single life. But she recently admitted that she has decided to try to go out on dates whenever she has the time. "Yes [I've been dating]. But not naman formal dates pero I've tried going out. Sometimes it's a group date. Hanggang dun lang, nothing exclusive. [I figured] maybe it's time to go out again. Sometimes I go with friends sa mga gimik. I try to go out with them as often as I can." However, when asked about the man she's been dating, Karylle just laughed and chose to keep the other details to herself. The 28-year-old singer-actress further clarified that although she's open to going out, she doesn't see herself getting into a serious commitment anytime soon. " Nung birthday ko (March 22) marami akong na-receive na messages wishing me love life. Ang sabi ko na lang, 'Next year niyo na lang i-wish.' (laughs) Kasi if you're talking about love as in the real love, kung ngayon na masyado pang soon. Medyo naghi-heal pa ang mga sugat. It's hard to step into [a relationship] again. I'm just enjoying being single. Medyo matagal na rin since I've experienced being single. It's flattering to get a lot of attention especially since I came from a breakup that was much publicized. Ang sarap din ng feeling na may mga tao who show their appreciation of you. Sasabihin nilang 'maganda ka' or whatever, kahit bola lang okay na rin, thank you (laughs)." Although already going out on dates, Karylle said that no one is courting her yet, neither Jericho or Christian Bautista, another rumored suitor. " Sila ang tanungin niyo kasi hindi ko naman pwedeng sabihin na nanliligaw sila. Wala pa naman sa kanilang nagaaya sa akin for a date. Kapag nag-ask ang isa sa kanila siguro I'll say 'yes.' Pero 'wag na lang natin pangunahan ang mga mangyayari. Hintayin na lang natin na sila ang mag-ask baka isipin pa nila ako 'yung talagang may gusto." Karylle and Christian got to know each other very well when they did the stage musical West Side Story last year, and that paved the way for a wonderful working relationship between the two. " Sa West Side Story, sa everyday naming nagkakasama nun naging close kami. Since then madalas na kaming may shows together. It's something I've always wanted, to have a ka-tandem or ka-duet sa mga shows. The last time we sang together nag-uusap na kami agad ng kung ano ang mga kakantahin namin sa susunod.
