| Karylle finds new 'partner'Author: (Jill Beltran/Sunnex) ACTRESS-singer Karylle finally finds her new partner in the person of another gorgeous man named Akihiro Sato. Sato, a Brazilian-Japanese ramp model, joined Karylle in a sexy print ad of Blue Water Day Spa as its newest faces replacing last year's endorsers Piolo Pascual and Marian Rivera.
"The first time I saw him (Akihiro) during our shoot, I feel like I am foreigner too because I will be working next with a foreign model. All things went smoothly though and I find him very friendly," Karylle told Sun.Star during their formal launching at C3 events place recently. "He really tries hard to learn to speak in Filipino so I find that interesting about him," she said about the 23-year-old towering model. Akihiro shared that he has been studying Filipino language for about two months now in preparation for his plan to penetrate local showbiz. "It is my dream to become a good actor here. Even if it's hard to learn Tagalog I want to do this," he said. Akihiro said he was happy that he was given an opportunity to be recognized through advertisements like Penshoppe, Close-up, and Blue Water Day Spa. "I was very happy when they told me that I got the job. I also have several offers in TV but I still need to prepare. I need to learn and get more experience," he said. So as Karylle, who looked so fresh in the new print ad of Blue Water Spa, said she was so glad to be part of the relaxing hub that she has been regularly visiting since it started in 2005. "I really go to the place even before. I've been supporting this spa for years because I love the product and the services they offered here... Whenever I entered the spa, I always say that 'I hope one day they will get me as their endorser and now it happened... I really felt honored when they asked me and accepted it right away," the actress said. Karylle goes to Blue Water Spa for some of her favorite services like the Brazilian Crystal Massage and the relaxation massage. Akihiro, meanwhile, started visiting the spa since he came here in the Philippines about eight months ago. Blue Water Day Spa vice president Francis Ryan Simisim said that one thing they consider choosing an endorser is that the person patronizes their company. "Karylle and Akihito have been our regular customers. It is a great factor that they support the spa movement. Akihiro was from abroad, but when he came, we let him try the treatments first, and when he saw the effect on him then we took him as an endorser. Karylle has been our client ever since," Simisim said. He added that another factor they took into account was the two celebrities are two of the hottest rising stars today. "They are the hottest rising stars right now and that's why we chose them. Obviously to show that our treatments are really effective we showed them the ones that tried our services," he remarked. Karylle vs Marian Karylle said that she already anticipated the issue between her and Marian, since they were once had a rift because of Dingdong Dantes. But before anything ignites, Karylle downplayed that her selection for being the endorser of the spa Marian once endorsed was attributable to her faithfulness to the spa. "I'm sure there were some who will add color to it, but I've been going to Water Day Spa for about four years. I was not afraid to face intrigues, ngayon pa after all that had happened! And there's really nothing to fear," she said. For the spa management, they said it was their prerogative to choose who will represent their spa as endorser. They also stressed that they have not negotiated to Marian or even her representatives for the renewal of her contract which supposedly ended last February. Blue Water Day Spa has six existing branches in Metro Manila located in Greenhills, San Juan; Ortigas; Makati; Alabang; Capitol Hills in Quezon City; and Tagaytay. It showcased innovative treatments from Europe and the US such as Montecelli, Athlete's massage, Enzyme peeling, Tibetan fire meridian, and Biodroga. It also boasts a revolutionary kind of relaxation through a theater spa where one could watch movie while having a foot massage inside a state-of-the art Cineplex. Source: Sunstar Daily |
