Karylle is happy just being friends with Jericho Rosales Author: Napoleon Quintos Karylle and Jericho Rosales each went through much-publicized bitter breakups last year. Since they used to have the same managers, Jericho became one of the first people Karylle talked to after she made the big switch to ABS-CBN. This led many to speculate that a romance could possibly spring between the two, especially now that they are starring in the upcoming teleserye Dahil May Isang Ikaw. At the media event for the teleserye, Karylle admitted that there was a time when she felt a little bit awkward towards Jericho whenever they would see each other every Sunday on ASAP '09. " Dati kasi 'yung mga tao talagang tinutukso kami, talagang nakatingin sila, nanonood so ang awkward. Kaya lang kapag naiilang ka kasi sa isang tao the more na iisipin ng mga tao na may something sa inyo. Napag-usapan na namin na huwag na kaming mailang sa isa't isa. So nag-usap kami, sabi namin 'Bahala na nga. Kung manunukso sila hayaan na lang.' Huwag na kaming mailang sa isa't isa. So ngayon mas okay na kami." In Dahil May Isang Ikaw, Karylle will play a woman who is desperately in love with Jericho. But in real life, Karylle said that she is just happy with her friendship with Jericho whom she described as a nice person to talk to. " Ang dami kong natutunan sa kanya. Siguro naman kahit papaano may mga natutunan din siya sa akin. I believe kasi na bawat taong dumadating sa buhay mo hindi mo dapat bale walain kasi may reason kaya mo sila nakilala. Feeling ko ganun kaming dalawa ni Echo. Sobrang wise niya. Napaka insightful niyang kausap." Karylle has chosen not to comment further about the rumored romance between her ex-boyfriend Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. For Karylle, the issue is just a thing of the past. " Sabi ko nga parang 'Boom, Boom, Pow,' (a song of Black Eyed Peas). 'I'm so 2008, you so 2000 and late.' I mean ' yung topic sobrang very old na, baka nabo-bore na 'yung mga tao. Sabi ko, blame it with the readers, they're bored na with that topic. Ako I'm very polite. If someone asks me, I'm going to answer. But siyempre, out of respect, I don't want to answer them. Time to change topic na." Dahil May Isang Ikaw also marks the grand Kapamilya teleserye comeback of Lorna Tolentino who happens to be Karylle's aunt. Lorna and Karylle's mother ZsaZsa Padilla are first cousins. " Madalas kong makita si Tita Lorna nung bata ako. May mga pictures nung binyag ko na karga niya ako. I've known her for a long time pero ngayon ko lang siya nakatrabaho. Pero ngayon madalang pa kami magkasama kasi hiwalay pa kami ng unit." Karylle added that she is very much looking forward to learning a lot of acting tips from her aunt who is hailed as one of the best actresses in the industry. "' Yung lola ko, 'yung sister ng mom ni Tita Lorna, sumulat pa sa akin na lumapit daw ako sa ninang ko para humingi ng mga acting tips kasi magaling daw siya.
