Karylle more interesting than Anne?

Author: Joey Aquino
Column: Just Asking

the interview with Anne Curtis last Sunday, on "The Buzz" with regards to the real status of her relationship with Sam Milby, some issues were cleared up. But even if it was a tearful and sad moment for Anne as she revealed her thoughts and feelings about what happened, still many are saying that her breakup with Sam Milby doesn’t have that much impact.

According to a reader, “Mas national issue ang paghihiwalay nina Dingdong Dantes at Karylle kaysa sa hiwalayan nina Anne at Sam.

Ang dating ng break-up nina Anne at Sam ay parang puppy love lang. ”

The problem with some showbiz relationships is that the personalities involved tend to hide it. They probably do it to protect themselves from the onslaught of publicity, not wanting to have their private lives talked about in public. But they can’t help it because they are public figures and whatever it is they do will be subject to public scrutiny. True, they are entitled to their privacy but since they are celebrities, naturally people are curious about the goings-on in their lives.

“Siguro nga ayaw lang talagang i-share nina Anne and Sam some things with regards their relationship which went sour. ” In contrast to Dingdong and Karylle, these two didn’t hide their romance which blossomed right before our eyes. This must be the reason why when it ended; the public reaction was more intense. The developments regarding the breakup of the Dingdong and Karylle was awaited with bated breath by the public, in contrast to the somewhat lukewarm reaction with regards the Anne-Sam split up. The relationship between Dingdong and Karylle were more publicized compared to the relationship of Anne and Sam. To be honest, I never had any idea that Anne and Sam had a relationship. So it was really just between the two of them and nobody else unlike the Dingdong-Karylle, it was more public that even the media had the chance to create their own story line with regards to the issue up to their alleged break up.

Does this mean that the public is more sympathetic with the plight of Karylle, compared to that of Anne? Just asking…

SARAH NEW CONCERT QUEEN?

IT'S been a week since Sarah Geronimo’s successful concert held at the Araneta Coliseum last week. It was a jampacked affair, as attested to by those who were able to watch the concert. The venue was filled to the rafters.

But despite the success of Sarah’s concert, there were also some negative comments. Like, they didn’tlike the way Sarah delivered her spiels. She could have done better, they say. “Sana raw nag-Tagalog na lang ito kung hindi naman nito mai-dedeliver nang maayos ang mga spiels in English. Wala naman masama kung ganoon ang gagawin niya. ”

But when it comes to performing, Sarah is really a class by herself. The people went home satisfied, especially since they had the chance to see Sarah’s special guest, John Lloyd Cruz. The partner of Sarah in the hit movie “A Very Special Love” drew thunderous approach from the crowd.

But how come some people who viewed the concert said they were bored? If they liked the concert as a whole, why are they saying it was boring? Inantok daw sila? Why is this so? Hindi ba sila nagising sa powerful voice ni Sarah? Just asking….
