| | Karylle says moving forward is the best way to get over a heartache Author: Rhea Manila Santos After appearing in I Love Betty La Fea and an episode of Your Song, Karylle is keeping herself busy preparing for her nerw teleserye Ikaw Lamang opposite Jericho Rosales. The 27-year old is also seen weekly on the variety show ASAP '09. During a guest appearance on the February 24 episode of Ruffa and Ai, the pretty singer-actress talked about how she keeps herself looking and feeling great' " Yung pinaka-importante is yung inner beauty talaga. Kasi lalabas yung aura mo. 'Pag malungkot ka talaga kasi, kahit na anong ganda mo, kahit gaano kadaming makeup mo, talagang makikita yun," she says. Karylle admits she has a secret weapon when she's feeling less than cheerful. " Yung blush-on is sobra kong best friend. Ever since nag-break kami [ ni Dingdong (Dantes)], parang gusto ko sobrang kapal ng blush-on ko para feeling beautiful ako all the time. Kahit malungkot yung eyes, na-distract na sila sa rosy cheeks," she tells hosts Ruffa Gutierrez and Ai-Ai de las Alas. After a very painful public breakup with her boyfriend of three years last year, Karylle admits she's very thankful to those who have been supporting her all this time. " Siyempre, marami rin akong tao na nakapaligid sa akin na tumutulong talaga sa akin, pushing me forward kumabaga. Na kung meron mang parang relapse, talagang tulak ka na bawal bumalik, ganun," she admits. The Ikaw Lamang actress also shares the other things she did to move on from the relationship. "I went through counseling tapos nag-retreat ako. The only reason why I still talk about it until now is dahil may mga nag-e-email sa akin, nagtatanong kung saan ako nag-retreat. So may maganda naman siyang naidulot," she says. After her stay at the Assumption retreat house in Baguio, Karylle then continued to seek counseling in Ateneo. She also says getting into running helped her bring her confidence back. "Yeah I still jog. I have a trainor now. I jogged my first fun run and I did a 5K right before I posed for the Bench ad. Most of the time naglakad lang naman ako pero number 171 ako out of 400 women so sabi ko, for my first time, at least hindi naman ako sa bottom half. Kahit papano andun naman ako sa upper half," she shares with Ruffa and Ai-Ai. The pretty bachelorette also says she isn't looking to get into another relationship this year. " Parati kong pinag-pre-pray na sana huwag akong magka-boyfriend ngayon. Ayoko, kasi single is sexy. Ayaw mo naman madaliin yung mga ganung bagay. So friends, friends, ganyan," she tells Ai-Ai. But that doesn't mean Karylle doesn't have a definite idea of what to look for in a man. " Gusto ko yung mabait at saka gusto yung ma-cha-challenge yung utak ko. 'Pag kinakausap mo, may natututunan kang bago. Hindi naman kailangan anything intellectual, pero yung mga natutunan niya in life maganda rin 'di ba? Yung may discussion at saka hindi ka lang kuntento sa kung nasan ka. Yung gusto niya mag-grow," she enumerates. Although she is being linked to her Ikaw Lamang and former I Love Betty La Fea co-star Jericho Rosales, Karylle says there is nothing but friendship between them. " Hindi naman. Wala, okay lang. Andiyan lang siya. Minsang nagkasama kami sa Betty La Fea. Nagpunta siya sa charity event (one hosted by the singer-actress)," she says. Source: ABS-CBN Interactive |
