Katrina Halili enjoyed shooting 'One Night Only'

Actress Katrina Halili said there's no competition between her and Jennylyn Mercado, Diana Zubiri, Valerie Concepcion and Alessandra de Rossi, the other female lead stars in the film, "One Night Only," which is directed by Jose Javier Reyes.

"Actually, wala pong talbugan kasi limang babae kami diyan with different stories, so magkakaiba kami. Ni hindi nga kami nagkikita-kita halos. Actually ang ka-scene ko lang diyan si Dianna Zubiri dahil parang best friend kami. Iba-ibang story kami," Halili told ABS-CBNNEWS.com in an interview.

Halili said that it was her first time and a dream come true to work with the acclaimed director. Reyes directed one of her favorite films, "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo" starring Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo.

"Siya ang nag-direk ng 'Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo' ni Judy Ann na sobrang light lang at sobrang nakakatuwa. Sobrang kinabahan ako. Ang feeling ko, nakakatakot, sobrang strict, sobra pero mabait naman po," she said.

Halili said "One Night Only" is her first sexy-comedy film, where she has intimate scene with actor-director Ricky Davao.

She said that she really enjoyed shooting the film since she worked with a good cast and the best director.

"Nag-enjoy ako, happy ako. At saka happy ako for ilang years na lagi akong serious, kontrabida, drama tapos switch sa comedy," she said.

When asked if she had a problem portraying her role, Halili replied: "Ako kasi, kapag kilala mo ako hindi mo iisipin na sobrang seryoso, sobra akong kulit at kalog."

"One Night Only" revolves around the interconnecting lives of five young women which culminate in one eventful night at a motel called Lover's Hideaway. The story takes place only in one night.

The movie is the production of OctoArts Films, its official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

Aside from Halili, the movie stars Manilyn Reynes, Paolo Contis, Jon Avila, Joross Gamboa, Ogie Diaz, Jason Gainza, and Ricky Davao.

On love

Halili, who is now considered as one of the hottest stars, shared that she's now happy with her relationship with singer Chris Lawrence.

Halili said she's exclusively dating Lawrence.

"Okay naman po, (exclusively dating), oo naman po, pero sobrang daming work so less na yung kita, unlike before," she said.

Halili is now busy promoting "One Night Only" and performs in a television fantasy series.
