After a long hiatus, singer-composer Kitchie Nadal returns to the music scene with a new album, Love Letter. But this time, she’s not just using a guitar to make her realize every artist’s dream of going global. Her new instrument? A television commercial that aims to introduce her as an international recording star.

A compilation of inspirational songs, Love Letter features a more mature and spiritually grounded Kitchie. Its launch coincided with Nadal’s take-off as an international endorser for Chevron, maker of fuel brand Caltex with Techron. Kitchie’s latest TVC underscores the importance of keeping car engines clean for a safer, more efficient and reliable journey.

The 30-second advertisement is a global campaign that will air in seven countries across Asia, including the Philippines. It also marks Kitchie’s debut at endorsing a brand on a global scale. The singer/songwriter is the first Filipina to star in a regional ad for Caltex with Techron.

“It’s been a good time for me. I can’t wait to extend my music to listeners everywhere,” remarked Kitchie on her latest achievement.

It can be recalled that Nadal’s career soared with her double platinum single, “Huwag na Huwag Mong Sasabihin” that sold over 80,000 copies. This was followed by the release of another hit title, “Same Ground.” She was also the singer-composer for themes of various ABS-CBN and GMA series like I Luv New York, Rounin and Majika.

“We chose Kitchie because she reflects the positive qualities of our products,” said Caltex brand manager Enrico de Leon during the TVC’s recent launch in Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig. “As we do with our car’s engine, Kitchie has to keep her musical instruments clean so she can always deliver top-quality performances to her audience,” he added.

Love Letter contains “Highway,” a track used in Nadal’s radio ad for Caltex with Techron. “It’s a mid-tempo love song that evokes the joys of traveling, especially when you’re going the right way,” she explained. “For me, it’s being on the path my Creator has chosen for me,” she added.

Apart from the TVC and the radio ad, Kitchie will also be participating in a number of other Caltex with Techron promotional activities. The singer is slated to have a series of concert tours in select Caltex stations nationwide. Look out for Kitchie as she gasses up at a Caltex station or grabs a bite at Select Star Mart branches.

The composer will also participate in a radio tour to promote both the Caltex with Techron TVC and her album. Songs from Love Letter will also be playing in all Caltex stations nationwide.
