SAYANG, Ian F. , at 'di namin naabutan ang healing Mass for President Cory Aquino sa Greenbelt Chapel sa Makati last Friday.

Halos tapos na ang Misa nang dumating kami roon. We would have been in the company of Virgie Ramos, whose family owns the National Book Store and the sole franchise and distributor of the Swiss timepiece, Swatch, but we had time to pray pa rin that she (President Cory) recover soon.

Truly jampacked ang simbahan. We saw familiar faces, like Philip Juico's and Josie Lichanca's, who were members of President Cory's former Cabinet. Joanne Ramirez of the Philippine Star was also there. We heard that like Virgie, Joanne attends the healing Mass for Tita Cory almost daily.

In one of her columns, Joanne wrote na nagtrabaho siya kay Tita Cory noong presidente pa ito. She was a good boss, she said.

Nakabesu-beso namin si Jackie Aquino who, in real life, is Tita Cory's pamangkin.

Jackie's dad, former Senator Butz Aquino, is the younger brother ni late Sen. Benigno Aquino, husband ni President Cory.

"Dito sa chapel na ito dating nagsisimba si Cory araw-araw," bulong ni Virgie, malapit na kaibigan ng dating presidente at napag-alaman naming tulad ni Joanne, daily ring nag-a-attend ng nine-day healing Mass for Tita Cory.

Mother Lily Monteverde, meanwhile, said she came to know Tita Cory when the latter was still President.

Tita Cory requested the Regal lady produ to visit her sa Malacañang Palace.

Jean Garcia said she and daughter Jennica treat each other like sisters.

Actually, feeling ni Eugene, patung-patong na suwerte ang bigay sa kanya ng Kimmy Dora, since, would you believe, she also has no less than Piolo Pascual for her producer?
