Kris wants to have twin girls

AT 20, it's just as well that Cristine Reyes has decided not to fall in love again and concentrate on her showbiz career instead.

"Salamat naman at obviously napag-isip isip niyang love can wait, while her showbiz career cannot.

"Bale ba," the kibitzer continued, "kung ma-in love iyang si Cristine, she has a tendency to give her all. 'Yung tipong parang wala nang pagmamahal na itinitira sa sarili.

"Kaya, always, she ends up frustrated."

The kibitzer cited the time Cristine was still with Dennis Trillo, "Hindi lang niya ito hinabol habol," he recalled. "She literally bumped heads with Carlene (Aguilar), who was then pregnant with Dennis' baby.

"E, pasaway din 'yang si Carlene. Hindi nga siya inurungan.

"But what apparently awakened Cristine to her senses was Dennis' alleged pronouncement that he no longer loves her but that it was Cristine who continues running after him."

Cristine, a Viva Artist Center talent, is creating a new image for herself as a prim and proper lady. Thanks to the patience and guidance of her talent manager, Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz, the elder daughter of Viva Group of Companies' big boss, Vic del Rosario.

Cristine is actually in good company, as Anne Curtis and Sarah Geronimo are among those included in Veronique's stable of stars.

Cristine plays the leading lady in two films, "Patient X" and "Ang Darling Kong Aswang."

In "Patient X," she is the notorious patient who unleashes her evil side at the expense of her attending doctor, portrayed by Richard Gutierrez, who finds himself confused as he is trapped in the murderous rampage of aswangs.

"Funny," said Cristine, "But I'm an aswang whom Bossing Vic (Sotto) considers his darling in 'Ang Darling Kong Aswang'."

"Ang Darling Kong Aswang" is earmarked for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival.

"Patient X," meanwhile, will be released in more 100 theaters nationwide when it opens on October 28. It premieres on October 25.

"I want more babies," Kris Aquino announced in her talk program, "Showbiz News Ngayon" (SNN), with Boy Abunda. "If possible, I want twins if God wills that I get pregnant again."

Kris knows she is taking a risk should she get pregnant again.

But she wants her two boys to have a sister (times two, if possible).

"Baby James (who turned two last April) has expressed his wish to have a playmate," related Kris.

Kris knows that if her mom, President Cory Aquino were alive, she would discourage her from getting pregnant.

Kris recalled how, at one time, she caused her mom anxiety when she heard that Kris could be pregnant again, even if Baby James was not even a year old then.

"Then I learned na lang from James (Yap, her husband) that Mom talked to him na huwag na daw itong payagang magbuntis akong muli.

"Pero alam ko na din na di ako papabayaan ni Lord, kapag nag-decide siyang bigyan uli ako ng isa pang anak," Kris stated hopefully.

Someone suspect that whatever reason Sunshine Dizon has for deciding to quit not only her series, "Tinik sa Dibdib" but also showbiz, if only temporarily, her non-showbiz boyfriend is behind it.

Did we hear it right that the guy is related to a showbiz personality who has a daughter by a politician?

We are told that it is Sunshine's mom, Dorothy Laforteza, who cannot take her daughter's decision, as she thinks Sunshine is giving up so much for love.

Someone close to mother and daughter said: "Makikita mo, in the end, mare-realize na naman ni Sunshine na tama ang mommy niya. After all, ilang beses na ba 'yang nagluka-lukahan sa pag-ibig?

"And always, she's left holding the bag.

"No wonder hindi na naman matuyu-tuyuan ng luha ang mata ni Dorothy. When nga naman will her daughter learn her lesson?"
