| Lorna Tolentino to star in MMK and now busy promoting gold-status album![]() Author: Nerisa Almo Since she transferred from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN late last year, multi-awarded actress Lorna Tolentino has been busy with her first project with her new home network, a music compilation called H.O.P.E. (Healing Of Pain and Enlightenment) Volume Two, " Wings of the Soul." The album, which was launched last November, has already reached gold-record status according to Star Records managing director Annabel Regalado-Borja, at the its press launch yesterday, March 19, at the 9501 Restaurant in ABS-CBN compound, Quezon City. Lorna and Star Records continue to promote the H.O.P.E. album. In fact, Lorna has appeared on several shows of ABS-CBN, including morning talk show Ruffa and Ai. When she appeared as a guest on the show, Lorna felt how much she missed working as a TV host. Before she became a Kapamilya, Lorna used to be one of the hosts of the weekly showbiz talk show Startalk on GMA-7. Then, she jested, "Sana magkaroon sila ng idea, kaming magpipinsan--si Zsa Zsa Padilla, si Amy Perez, at ako, 'The Cousins.'" For her first TV project for ABS-CBN, Lorna will be playing a lead role in the weekly drama show Maalaala Mo Kaya. Following this is a teleserye where she will be able to work again with her former leading men Gabby Concepcion and John Estrada (Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay in 2002). In fact, the three actors have already shot their part on ABS-CBN's newest station ID as part of their promo. Lorna also said that she might get the story of this series after Holy Week. The actress also explained that there will be a slight delay on this project because of some changes in the story. I heard line of work...line of work ko ang binago. While waiting for these projects, Lorna said that she would give most of her time in promoting the album, which features her late husband Rudy Fernandez's close friends like Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla, Phillip Salvador, Tirso Cruz III, and others. "Ito muna [music album]. 'Yong as an actress, soon," ended Lorna. Source: Philippine Entertainment Portal |
