FORMER President Joseph "Erap" Estrada has another apo, courtesy of his daughter-in-law, Rowena (nee Ocampo), who married his youngest son with former Senator Loi Ejercito, Jude, nearly two years ago.

The couple have named their son Justin Jude, following the tradition in the Ejercito family of christening all their children with names starting with the letter J.

Prior to her pregnancy, Weng (Rowena's pet name) managed the plush restaurant, Tangerine, in Greenhills, which President Erap reportedly co-owns with chanteuse Pilita Corrales.

The name Shalani Soledad is getting to be familiar among showbiz followers. And for a reason.

She is reportedly going to be the future sister-in-law of talk show host and actress Kris Aquino.

Shalani is the girlfriend of Senator Noynoy Aquino. Thus, should Senator Noynoy win the presidency, she has the possibility of becoming his First Lady.

Politics is not alien to Shalani, as she is currently a Valenzuela City councilor.

A party mate of incumbent Valenzuela Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian, Shalani is reportedly eyeing a congressional seat in the coming elections.

Shalani reportedly grew up in Bicol. She is a graduate of College of St. Benilde.

Before turning politician, she worked with the Office of Senator Ping Lacson, who introduced her to Noynoy.

Shalani is 29 years old. Senator Noynoy will turn 50 on February 8, 2010.

Congratulations to Angel Locsin, who was nominated for best actress in the 37th International Emmy Awards. She was cited for her performance in the series "Lobo" ("The Wolf").

"Lobo," which also starred Piolo Pascual, was Angel's first series with ABS-CBN, since her decision to become a Kapamilya. As everybody knows, she was formerly a contract star of GMA-7.

Angel was last seen in the adaptation of the Korean series, "Only You," which was a top-rater on ABS-CBN.

Another Emmy nomination garnered by ABS-CBN is for "Kahit Isang Saglit Lang," which is contender for the best TV drama category.

Apparently, another reason other than her current busy schedule that prevents Sarah Geronimo from falling in love is her studies.

Sarah is determined to earn a college diploma, no matter what.

She is currently enrolled at the UP Open University, where she is taking up a course in Associate in Arts.

Sarah said Monday is reserved for her studies. "Kaya, dapat wala akong trabaho sa araw na iyon. That is the day when I do all my assignments, which I send to the university by e-mail.

"I'm considered a working student," Sarah said, "Thus, I have the option to take make up exams na-miss ko."

So far, Sarah thinks she's doing well. Her subjects include Communication Skills 1, 2 and 3 and computer education.

Sarah supplements her studies by reading books. Her favorites are adventure novels, like the "Twilight" series.

"I also tend to read all reading materials that come my way. Yes, including those entertainment columns which not all, sad to say, contain favorable write-ups about me.

"At least kasi, nalalaman ko ang mali ko at nakakapag-make amends din ako," she said.

Are reports true that she is being pursued by TV host-cum-comedian Willie Revillame?

We asked Lorna Tolentino this when we bumped into her at the birthday party of Senator Bong Revilla, the day before typhoon Ondoy devastated the entire Metro Manila, last September 25 at White Space in Makati.

LT took a deep breath before replying: "I thought nasagot na ni Willie ang tanong na iyan? I heard him say on TV na 'di niya ako nililigawan.

"That's that."

LT has been a widow for exactly one year and three months. Her husband, action star Rudy Fernandez, died of cancer in June last year.

She is now back to work, playing the leading lady of Gabby Concepcion and John Estrada in the popular ABS-CBN drama series, "Dahil May Isang Ikaw." It also stars Chin Chin Gutierrez, Kristine Hermosa, Jericho Rosales, Sid Lucero and Karylle.

LT appears at her prettiest in "Dahil May Isang Ikaw." What's her secret to looking young (she is in her late 40s) these days?

"What do you mean?" LT asked back.

Well, did you undergo an "enhancement"? A facelift, perhaps? We inquired pointblank.

"Why, do you think I need it na?" LT asked in return.
