| Love quotes from Bea, JohnColumn: A Little Bit THE loveteam of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz is no different from the loveteams of Vilma Santos and Edgar Mortiz, Tirso Cruz III and Nora Aunor or Vilma and Christopher de Leon. They look good together (to quote our entertainment editor Eugene Asis) on screen but their respective hearts belong to somebody else. It is even pointless to repeatedly ask them why the attraction never went beyond the range of the camera or even hope that one day, they will eventually discover falling for one another. The electrifying presence of the two onscreen and the support of the fans who don't mind whether they end up with one another in real life or not all the more inspires Star Cinema to bring their tandem again and again. They are now on their fifth outing, in another love story that will put Hallmark into shame with the over abundance of love quotes between the lead stars as they give their relationship "one more chance. " The title of the movie is, of course, "One More Chance" and it was loosely based on the love story of its director, Cathy Molina-Garcia. Here's a sample of some quotes from the movie dominated by female writers and director: "She had me at my worst. .. you had me at my best but you chose to break my heart. " Or fancy this line: "Kailangan ko. Kailangan mo rin. Pero ikaw ang kaila-ngan ko. " Paging Janice de Belen who used to deliver these lines in the movies when she was so slim and directed by Danny Zialcita. Your reaction please. In the movie, Basha (Bea) and Popoy (John) have been going steady for five years. Basha (she of Russian descent perhaps, hence the name?) wants to spread her wings alone, seems to be ready to give the relationship a rest. What happens next is a journey of how the couple cope and how they move on to the next phase of their lives. JOEY REYES: MARKETING IS INDIE FILMS' PROBLEM The controversial Joey (remember his movie "Live Show" or Toro?) has two movies showing this December for the MMFF. They are "Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo" for Star Cinema and "Katas ng Saudi" for Maverick Films. Sakal. .. is a sequel to last year's "Kasal, Kasalo, Kasali" which was the MMFF 2006 top grosser and starring Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. "Katas" marks the return of Jinggoy Estrada as producer and actor. The comedy drama captures the plight of the contemporary Filipino family, the head working abroad to provide the children a brighter tomorrow. Lorna Tolentino plays the wife and also featuring the junior loveteam of Shaina Magdayao and Rayver Cruz. Jinggoy's son Julian is also introduced. BULL RUN ON MAXXX From a regular guy who pours more heart and soul into his Camaro in his driveway than his relationship, to the millionaire playboy who drives a $500,000 Mclaren SLR, "Bull Run" provides action, brutal competition and nail-biting, down-to-the wire drama for people around the world with their cars. Another Maxxx highlight is "Cheaters. " It helps victims who suspect that their significant others are cheating by revealing to them the shocking evidence that they don't want to believe. The Cheaters surveillance team secretly follows the suspected cheater and collects video and audio evidence of the illicit affairs. After viewing the incriminating evidence, the victims confront the infidel and reveal the incriminating evidence. That has been caught by the Cheaters cameras. MILESTONES Source: People's Journal |
