Lovi moving to Kapamilya network?

Because she agreed to headline TV-5’s Lipgloss, rumors circulated that GMA-7 has a silent ban on Lovi Poe. The pretty star’s last regular show for the Kapuso network was the Marian Rivera-Dingdong Dantes’ starrer Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang which ended a few months ago.

“I’m not aware that there’s a buzz like that. To correct it, there’s no such thing. Before I did Lipgloss, I asked permission from GMA through my manager Leo Dominguez and they allowed me. I had my blessing, so to speak so how could that be? As of now, I still don’t have a new show with them but they guest me in many of their existing programs,” says Lovi.

Due to this, many speculate that she’ll soon follow boyfriend Jolo Revilla to the rival camp. He has an upcoming project for ABS-CBN 2—Agimat with the blessing of former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr. In one of his recent interviews, Jolo picked her to be his probable leading lady if he’d be given the chance to make the choice.

“It’s simply flattering but I can’t exactly tell now regarding my possible transfer. At present, I’m clueless. I just let my manager do the negotiations. I’m not discounting the possibility if ever, since as I’ve said earlier I’ve no regular show with GMA at this point in time.”

“I’m not sure if ABS-CBN has an offer but if ever there is, I’ll still weigh things and choose what will make me happy. In the meantime, I’ll just wait for the decision of my manager!”

Kapamilya meets Kapuso

Piolo Pascual says he’s thankful to Dingdong Dantes for accepting the role as Eugene Domingo’s leading man in Kimmy Dora (Kambal sa Kiyeme) which he produces under his very own Spring Films.

“Actually, we didn’t consider what others are saying that we’re rivals in the business. It’s out of the frame. I’m grateful because he accepted the offer. He just became true to his word that he would participate in the project,” Piolo reveals.

Unknown to some, Dong was supposed to be one of the film’s producers too.

“Yes! We started talking about the possibility of collaborating for a project when we did the Ponds commercial. I think, that was also the time he was doing Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang under direk Joyce [Bernal] who is also the director of Kimmy Dora. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to explore deeper on the matter because both of us got very busy. But he gave his commitment to be part of the cast.”

Piolo salutes Dingdong because like him, he also wants to grow in the showbiz industry.

“Among my contemporaries, Dong is one who maximizes all his potentials. Apart from acting, he also directs. From here you can gauge he wants to stay long in the scene. It’s just great to work with people whose passion is on the same level as yours. It’s my dream to produce a movie with him in the future and yes, even to be directed by him,” reveals the handsome heartthrob.

Part of the original plan is that he and Dingdong will be Eugene’s leading men in the film.

“I consider it a blessing in disguise that I’m no longer in the cast. That way, I can really focus on the production side. My schedule was so full when Kimmy Dora was about to start shooting. I have Lovers in Paris with KC Concepcion which required me to be out of the country for a certain period of time. If production will wait for my availability, we won’t beat our target release.”

Piolo learned his lessons already when he produced his maiden project Manila which is scheduled to do the rounds in various film festivals after its debut in Cannes.

“I had a hard time when I was shooting Manila. Apart from the production concerns, I also had to concentrate on the acting side. Add the fact that Lobo was still running then so you can just imagine how divided my attention was. I hardly slept during that period and I don’t want that to happen again. This time, I want to learn more about the production process,” he ends.
