| Mar & Korina, other lovey-dovey couplesColumn: HighSpeed 'ALTA SOCIEDAD' - Highspeed's sosyal friend reports that the recent Inno Sotto-Bea Valdez fashion show at the Makati Shangri-la was attended by Manila's so-called beautiful people. Both genuine alta sociedad and Mr. Everest scalers (read social climbers). But before anything else, the sosyal friend mentioned earlier is old rich, just like the Zobel de Ayalas, Cojuangcos, Elizaldes, Legardas, and Sorianos. Inno made the Spanish-inspired dresses and Bea provided the accessories at the fashion event, graced by no less than Isabel Presyler, the toast of Madrid's alta sociedad. Manila-born Isabel is the first wife of Julio Iglesias and mother of Enrique and Julio Jr. But Highspeed isn't about to comment on the dresses and accessories, but is reporting instead on the showbiz couple seen there, as whispered by the sosyal friend. • LOVEY-DOVEY COUPLE - Phoemela Barranda and Ira Cruz were lovey-dovey. Seems that Phoem has forgiven Ira... and forgotten the mauling incident, which made her nearly sue her BF. Also a sweet, sweet pair were Dra. Vicki Belo and young lover Dr. Hayden Kho of "Celebrity Duets" fame. Vicki's producing a concert for Hayden. Another loving couple were Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama, still looking good after all these years. By the way, belated happy birthday to Mama Annabelle. Dateless - or so it seemed that night - were Pops Fernandez, Maricel Soriano, Mutya Laxa, KC Concepcion, Gaita Fores. By the way, beneficiary of the fashion show is Virlanie Foundation, which looks after the needs of abused children. • MAR & KORINA - Speaking of lovey-dovey couples, Sen. Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez come to mind. They're seen together not only in social functions but political gatherings, as well. Preparing for 2010? Korina will make a beautiful, articulate, and intelligent first lady. Mar is unwed father to a 12-year-old boy by former Miss Philippines Maricar Zaldarriaga.
