MURA is now the proud owner of an ipod which, he said, was given by Marian Rivera.

"Mahal ito," he said, "Kaya ‘di ako makabili.

"Eh, napansin ni Marian na mahilig akong makinig samusic.

"The next time we met, sabi niya sa akin, ‘Sa yo na.’ Sabay abot ng isang maliit na kahon.

"Ang tuwa ko nang makita kong ipod ang laman ng kahon."

Mura is featured as one of Marian’s enemies in "Darna," where she plays the superheroine.

"Dusa ang nararanasan ko tuwing nagsu-siyuting ako para saDarna," Mura related. "Two hours akong nilalagyan ng make-up. And one hour naman ang itinatagal para maalis ang make-up. Na prosthetic."

When asked if he still gets to see Mahal, he said, "No more."

Now it’s time for Eugene Domingo to shine, via her first starrer, "Kimmy Dora," where she plays the title role.

Directed by Joyce Bernal, "Kimmy Dora" is a production of Spring Films, which Piolo Pascual owns. It was Piolo himself who thought of the name of his production. "Spring" because it’s the season between winter and summer and, thus, it is the first stage and freshest period.

Piolo said he has always admired Eugene’s (Uge to friends), especially as a comedienne. In a conversation he had with Direk Joyce, they thought of giving her the big movie break.

It was writer Chris Martinez who conceptualized the project for Uge. And it took almost a year before they were able to start filming it.

"But it’s worth it. ‘Yung paghihintay," stated Uge. "You should see the movie. It’s a riot. You’ll love it."

In Kimmy Dora, Uge is both Kimmy and Dora, whose personalities are the exact opposite of each other. As Kimmy, she is smart, sexy and ambitious. She is domineering and overpowering and has an evil streak in her. Dora, on the other hand, is a little slow. She is simple, sweet and shy.

Kimmy hates Dora, because the man of her dreams (played by Dingdong Dantes, who has a special role in the movie) likes Dora instead of her.

It is Kimmy’s effort to steal Johnson from Dora that will surely elicit a lot of laughter.

"Lalo pa nga at nagpupumilit akong magpaganda. Pero, kapag pala likas kang hindi maganda, you get to improve only," Uge said with a laugh.

Seriously, Uge swears she’s grateful to Piolo, whom she fondly calls Papa P, for giving her the break.

"I am keeping my fingers crossed we will make it," she said.

"Kimmy Dora" opens in more than 100 theaters nationwide on Sept. 2.

By the way, we asked Eugene which scenes she found challenging.

"Well, my kissing scene with Dingdong," she answered. "Ni sa pangarap, hindi ko naisip na puwedeng mahalikan ko sa lips si Dingdong. But I did dahil sa pelikulang ito."

She gets to don a bathing suit in the movie. "At ako mismo, nang makita ko ang nabanggit na eksena sa movie, natawa ako.

"Sa totoo lang," said a kibitzer, "‘di bagay kayEugene ang mag-bathing suit. Mataba siya."

When Marian Rivera marked her birthday recently, she actually had two reasons to celebrate. First, she said, she got a most coveted role, the title role in Darna.

Second, she plays Manny Pacquiao’s leading lady in the sitcom, "Show Me Da Manny."

Marian said she enjoyed taping both shows that she doesn’t mind if rest and sleep have become a luxury to her.

While she tapes three times a week for "Darna," she has to allot a day for her "Show Me Da Manny" taping.

Right now also, she needs to help promote her upcoming movie, "Tarot," with Dennis Trillo.

Broadcaster Korina Sanchez will officially be Mrs. Mar Roxas on October 23.

It might take place either at the Manila Cathedral or Sto. Domingo Church.

The wedding might take place in the afternoon.

So far, they have named only one sponsor, Rosa Rosal.

As Korina and Senator Mar have promised Kris Aquino, they have assigned Kris and James Yap’s son, Baby James, the role of ring bearer. Bible bearer, on the other hand, is reportedly sportscaster Dyan Castellejo’s son, Matthew.

President Cory Aquino would have been a ninang, too.
