Marian said this in a recent interview. "If ever we have a misunderstanding, we make up as soon as we can," she related, "Kasi, simple naman ang aming nagiging tampuhan. Caused usually ng pikunan. "And I have to admit that Im usually ang may kinalaman." Marian was wearing a diamond tennis bracelet which Dingdong reportedly gave her Valentines Day. The press pegged the cost of the bracelet at one million pesos. And how much was the wrist watch which she, in turn, gave Dingdong? "Seven hundred," Marians publicist, Lolit Solis, answered. "And I mean, P700,000." "Ang lagay pala niyan," Lolit added, "three hundred thousand pesos ang lamang ng regalong ibinigay ni Dingdong kay Marian." *** Marian called for the presscon to announce that she is featured along with broadcaster and host Mike Enriquez in the GMA News and Public Affairs special, "Walang Pera?" The feature will discuss the local impact of the global recession. According to statistics, 25,000 local jobs have been lost in manufacturing; over 5,000 OFWs have been sent home and more that 3,000 have been displaced in real estate. Is there really a recession? And what caused the global crisis in the first place? When and how is it expected to end? How bad the situation really is will be tackled in the report. "Very enlightening ang special," said Marian. "And the episodes na ipi-feature will tell the personal stories of the recession victims, some of whom I will portray." To illustrate the impact of recession in an easily understood way, GMA-7 will utilize 2-D and 3-D animation and special effects. "Walang Pera?" will air on March 22. Formerly a movie writer by profession, Boy describes himself as a witness to the flowering of bold movies in 1970s, the proliferation of "pene" films in the 1980s and the existence of the so-called Sex Trip ("ST") or Titillating Films ("TF") of the 1990s. Boy said the content of his book is based on not just what he knows about bold and sex films but also on research he has done about the genre. It took him three years to finish the book. A Bachelor of Arts in Literature graduate from the UST Faculty of Letters, Boy has authored two books, "Tio Ticong Pulitika at Pelikula Vicente Salumbides" and "Expose," both available at the National Bookstore. At the recent launch of "Seksinema," movie stars who have done sex if not bold films graced the event. Pilar Pilapil, Maria Isabel Lopez. Dan Alvaro and Ernie Garcia were present. Source: Malaya |
