Just a thought: God gave us two gifts. One is choice and the other is chance: the choice of a good life and the chance to make it the best.

Now that the brouhaha over the Dingdong Dantes-Karylle-Marian Rivera has dissipated, Marian and Dingdong have finally been liberated from bondage.

The lovers have become more open about their relationship and about being seen in public together. Marian reportedly helped organize a birthday dinner for Dingdong recently, with only family members and close friends in attendance.

The `Darna' star has ceased being afraid in openly displaying her love for her man and vice versa. These days, Marian's only fear is confined to the terrors facing her in a new horror movie, `Tarot.' Even the fear of `Darna' flopping, or failing to take off, has subsided. The actress' new GMA series soared to a high 40 percent when it premiered last Monday.

`Tarot' is Marian's third horror picture, following `Pamahiin' and the `Nieves' episode of last year's `Shake Rattle & Roll.' It reunites her with Dennis Trillo, who was her partner in `Pamahiin.' Marian and Dennis are kind of showbiz siblings as they are handled by the same manager, Popoy Caritativo.

In the movie, which opens Aug. 26, Marian plays a girl who can see the future. This gift of hers leads to trouble.

The movie also stars Roxanne Guinoo, Glaiza de Castro, Gloria Diaz, Dante Rivero, Susan Africa under the direction of Jun Lana.
