"Tarot" from Regal Entertainment promises to be the scariest Marian Rivera movie after "Pamahiin" and "Shake, Rattle and Roll X."

"Moviegoers should be expected to shout at the top of their voices from fear. This is really a scary movie. I was actually frightened doing this film but I know people who like horror films will enjoy ‘Tarot’," explained an excited Marian.

In "Tarot" Marian is Cara, who has a unique gift of seeing the future through her grandmother’s tarot cards. As a child, Cara was able to predict two deaths in her family. After this, her mother Diana, played by Gina Alajar, feared for her daughter and the possible dangers that her daughter’s psychic powers may bring her. She then stopped her daughter from using her gift.

Unfortunately, it was love that broke Cara’s promise to her mom. When her boyfriend Miguel, played by Dennis Trillo, went missing from a hiking session, a saddened and disturbed Cara was forced to use her gift to look for him. Using the tarot cards to answer her questions, she opened a Pandora’s box of dreadful revelations about her own life!

Though she was able to find Miguel, they were suddenly haunted by a series of ghostly apparitions and death. Cara then realized that she has unleashed a curse from the tarot cards and must find a way to undo it!

"When I was just starting in showbiz, the first horror film I did was ‘Pamahiin’ with Dennis Trillo. This is our second horror film together. It’s our reunion movie and as always, it was exciting working with him again," she said.

Unlike in "Pamahiin," wherein she was the one eliciting fear and horror, "Tarot" has her running for her life in horror.

"I was already scared of ‘Tarot’ when I first read the script they gave me. And when we started shooting, it was scarier than I ever imagined. I’m also grateful to Regal Films, especially Mother Lily Monteverde for this movie project," expressed Marian.

Marian added that she enjoyed working with her director Jun Lana and admired his vision for "Tarot." She believed that they have achieved their goal with "Tarot" which is to instill a frightful and hair-raising experience to moviegoers!

In "Tarot" are Roxanne Guinoo, Glaiza de Castro, Rich Asuncion, Nina Jose, Ana Quiambao, Gloria Diaz and Celia Rodriguez.

The movie opens on August 26.
