| | Martin Nievera says he and Gary Valenciano are having a 'bro-mance' Author: Julie Bonifacio Ilang araw na lang at magaganap na ang biggest concert of the year at kauna-unahang back-to-back show ng Concert King na si Martin Nievera at Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano sa SM Mall of Asia Grounds sa September 19, Saturday. Makakasama rin nina Martin at Gary sa stage sa una ring pagkakataon ang kanilang mga anak na sina Robin Nieverra at Gab Valenciano. Very much aware naman si Martin na dream pa rin ng anak niyang si Robin na magkabalikan sila ng kanyang ina na si Pop Fernandez. "Always," panimula ni Martin. "Even if you look at the depths, the very, very depths of Pops and mine we also hope. Mahigit isang dekada nang hiwalay sina Martin at Pops at siyam na taon ng napawalang-bisa ang kanilang kasal ng korte. Pero hanggang ngayon ay 'di pa rin sila ikinakasal sa iba. "That's weird 'no. Maybe we're scared now," sabay tawa ni Martin. "But now, we do find time to be a family just the four of us. We have dinner, a vacation. We did a cruise already as a separated couple. She wants to continue doing that until the kids find their own wives and families. Pops wants to share at least one or two more vacations together before that happens 'yung talagang leave the nest and they were all staring and face their own children, you know. Hasn't happened yet though." Kapag magkasama ba sila ni Pops, bumabalik ba 'yung nararamdaman nila sa isa't isa gaya nu'ng dati? "Always, yes. I would be lying if I will say absolutely not. But that cozy feeling comes in again, ' yung the warm feeling beside the fireplace kinda of a thing. Haay, naku, nakaka...Parang nanghihinyanag ba that feeling? And that always happen when we're together." At the same time, natatakot daw sila na maulit muli ang nangyari sa kanila ni Pops. "Not even that. It's just we would like, it's like we don't want to hurt each other anymore or I don't want to hurt her anymore rather. She never hurt me. I don't want to hurt her anymore. Parang we're afraid that if we go to another level baka babalik sa place na 'yun whether because of another woman or whatever it is, baka babalik sa, you're not supposed to be thinking of the end. But if you have been married and then separated and you're thinking about those feelings to come back, for whatever it is kung bumalik ang mga feelings na 'yun palagi ka'ng nag-iisip 'yung end again. When you get married for the first time, you never thought of this. You don't think about the end. You only think about the beginning ' di ba? Maybe that's the secret for being together-never ever think about the end." On the idea of having a new girlfriend, Martin swears na gagawin na talaga niyang pribado ang kanyang love life. "No, no. I will never admit again. It doesn't work with me anymore. I mean, everything, you, and how many people, look at this young couples who professed their love and I'll never leave you and forever and ever, my god! Six months later they broke up, you know. It's not worth it anymore. So, you always reminisce those things until I'll give a general answer and gave finally decided to get married again, then, it's important for you to know. But if it is just a girlfriend or a fling or a date or whatever, better not. No, because it's not fair. Again, at the end, here we are again. Mag-iisip ka ng the end ang papakita ninyo sa buong 'The Buzz' ang lahat ng mga happy days namin. So, documented lahat ng sinasabi namin noon na pwede ninyong gamitin kung may konting problema or may konting storm or whatever. It's not fair to the girl. Let's say kasama 'yung girl sa showbiz baka kayanin dahil sanay na. But ' yung mga girls na hindi kasama. ' Yung mga boys ni Pops na hindi kasama sa showbiz it's not fair to them to drag them, their families, their pastors, their politics, their religion. In all comes in to play kapag may konting storm or friction or whatever." But is he dating now? "Men, I'm dating men now. Gary and I are having a love affair right now. We're ah, what is it?
