Moving forward with Gab

Rachelle Ann Go has all the reasons to smile nowadays. Apart from her stable singing career, her personal life is also rosy due to Gab Valenciano. According to the rumor mill, their special relationship started only last December.

At first, we werent talking to each other. All I knew was that hes the son of Gary Valenciano. Even if wed meet in the hallways of ABS-CBN 2, we simply wouldnt say Hi! or Hello! to each other. I thought then that he was a braggart because of the way he talked to people and carried himself. I thought he was overconfident because he was the son of one of our most popular male singers.

But all of that changed when we got the chance to talk because we are mainstays in Asap. There were instances when we were together in production numbers. That was the time I knew that basically, hes a shy guy. When I told him about my first impression of him, he said that he was just like that when he talks to people but hes not boastful. The more I got to know him because of his dad. From then on, our friendship developed, informs Rachelle.

Last Christmas, they have special gifts for each other.

I was surprised because Gab gave me a MacBook. In return, I gave him a computer chair [that is worth P30,000!] which he can use in his recording studio. Actually, when he canvassed the price, I was with him. I discouraged him from buying it saying it was dear. That he should look for a cheaper one. Then, exactly on Christmas day, together with Tita Angeli [Pangilinan, Gabs mother], I put it in his room much to his delight.

Interestingly, now that she has a new love, Rachelle can already divulge the real culprit for her split-up with former steady Christian Bautista.

Its been a year now since Christian and I parted ways. There was nothing really serious like a third party. It was due to the many things we didnt agree on. Actually, during our two-year relationship, we were on and off because of said differences. The public just didnt know it because they see us doing our job in front of the cameras like true professionals. We tried working things out but sadly, it wasnt enough.

So it was our mutual decision to call it quits instead of prolonging the agony, so to speak. But we promised to maintain the friendship. We realized that were better off as pals. Funny but we understand each other better now as compared to the time when we were still a couple.

Lack of time for each other was another huge factor.

Yes! Blame it to our hectic schedules. We spent more time working than being together. Actually, it was only in Asap that we get to see each other on a regular basis. Then its a bonus if we were doing shows together. Truly, we lacked time then.

Anyway, its all water under the bridge now. As Ive mentioned, our relationship is far better now that were just friends. In fact, hes one of my special guests in my forthcoming show at the Music Museum titled Falling in Love. Gab will also be one of the guest performers, avers Rachelle.

Looking forward

Heartthrob Dingdong Dantes faces 2009 with optimism in spite of all the intrigues that continue to hound him.

I admit that there were unpleasant things that happened to me last year, especially during the last quarter but whats important is that it made me realize Im still human just like anyone else who is capable of committing mistakes, he declares.

Until now, the rumor linking him romantically to Marian remains persistent. According to kibitzers, they are getting sweeter as days go by in the set of their latest TV show.

I respect the fact that people have speculations. But Marian and I need not prove anything. At this point in time, its not our priority to take our friendship to the next level. Whats important is that we know were okay. The respect and understanding are there, says the handsome actor.

Karylle is being linked to Jericho Rosales of late.

Well, I cant comment on that since we are already leading separate lives now. But in case it is true, I wish them happiness.

Some quarters say that in a way, Marian disturbed his once peaceful existence.

I wouldnt put it that way. On the contrary, she added color into my life! Dingdong ends with a meaningful smile.
