| New shows fail to beat rivalsAuthor: Aster Amoyo BASED on the ratings, the three existing shows of the Kapuso network beat the three Kapamilya programs that premiered on Monday. Zaido had a rating of 30. 5% compared to Kung Fu Kids which had 26. 6%. Kamandag starring Richard Gutierrez had 33. 1% while Lobo with Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin , had 27. 7%. MariMar had 36. 8% compared to Palos which netted 23. 6 per cent. In the earlier time slot, Hana Yori Dango 2 had a rating of 18. 5 while Wheel of Fortune had 13. 7. 24 Oras had 30. 5 while TV Patrol had 23. ZARA IN A NO-TALK ROLE IT seems that the wheel of fortune is up for former beauty queen and ex-celebrity housemate Zara Aldana. She now graces "Wheel of Fortune," the latest daily game show of Kris Aquino on ABS-CBN, as one of the puzzle assistants. However, her no-talk role in the show elicits various reactions from showbiz watchers. Accordingly, such role is not deserving of her image as a beauty titlist. But Zara's manager, Joey Aquino ignores such comment. He pointed out that being a part of a Kris Aquino show is something to vouch for since not everyone has the opportunity to share the stage, so to speak, with Kris. "Kahit na ano pa iyan...basta may daily show siya," defends a Zara supporter. Undoubtedly, Zara is the first PBBCE2 housemate to be given a regular daily show. Whether it is a no-talk role, the mileage that the show creates for her will help boost her career. That is, if she knows how to play with her fortune. But there are nasty talks going around that the reason why she has been assigned as Kris' puzzle assistant is because she lacks substance. If this is true, how come she has been given a new show on ABC 5 that will showcase her talent as TV host? As main host, she will be talking to her guest celebrities and noted personalities while cooking up their favorite dish every week. Aside from this soon-to-air cooking show, Zara is also in the main cast of "T. e. e. n. s" on ABC 5. She will flex her acting muscles in the said show's new teen drama format.
