HETO na naman ako sa aking paboritong magasin na highly transparent sa mga kamaliang pinaggagawa. Hilig ng mga magasins na ito na mag-hire ng mga baguhang writers na fresh from school kuno, mga bata pa pero kulang naman sa research or kung nagre-research man ay hindi naman seryoso at hindi gumagamit ng common sense man lang!

Nakakaaliw ngang basahin ang mga ganitong magasins na binabaligtad ang showbiz history.

Heto ang latest. Isang istorya kay Velma Santos.

Ang opening statement ng istorya kay Velma: “After 55 years in the business, 200 films, four grand slam best actress awards (talaga ha?)...

and a hall of fame re­cognition from FAMAS (familiar?)... Maria Rosa Vilma Tuazon Santos was born on November 3, 1953 to Milag­ros Tuazon, a pharmacist from San Isidro, and Amado Santos, a former movie extra from Bamban, Tarlac.

Common sense. Kung 55 years na in the business si Velma at ipinanganak siya ng 1953 -- eh 'di 2 years old lang pala artista na si Velma?

In 1969, the 14-year old Velma met Edgar Mortiz, a rising recording star and undefeated champion in “Tawag ng Tanghalan” at a teen show entitled “Eskuwelahang Munti”... and in 1970, the two were launched in the film “Young Love”.

Common sense: Hay naku, ano ba naman! Kung 1953 ipinanganak si Velma eh 'di nung 1969 ay 16 years old na siya at hindi “Katorse” gaya ng nasulat! Mga tanga!

'Yung “Young Love” ay produced ng Sampaguita Pictures and first and last time na napagsama ang Nora-Tirso, Velma-Edgar loveteams.

Sa Sampaguita ba talaga ang “Trudis Liit”? Feeling ko sa Premiere Productions 'yun!

But who cares if someone else twist local showbiz history? Importante pa ba nowadays kung may tama o mali? Basta maibenta lang ang magasin nila -- kesehoda na kayo!

Kaya huwag na lang bilhin ang magasin na 'yun ha, para maligtas ang mga utak ninyo sa maling impormasyon!

One of the jackpot questions of Edu was, “Who's the longest reigning box-office queen of RP movies?” Ang sagot ko doon ay si Sharon Cuneta who I know had nine (9) box-office queen awards. Ang sagot ng contestants is Ai Ai delas Alas which is of course, wrong! Coz once lang siyang nanalo. According to PGKNB, the right answer is Vilma Santos. Hindi ba seven (7) times lang siya nanalo ng B-O-Q? Tapos si Ate Guy ay five (5)? Tama ba ako? Pero alam ko si Mega had the most number of B-O-Q awards. Nung 1985 pa nga, pinaglabanan pa nila ni Guy, tama? Thanks po.

Alam nyo po nasagot ko yung 6 letters. Nagulat ako pagdating sa “A”, no such answer. Eh may role po si mega sa Andrew Ford Medina of Andrew E. Hindi naman po binanggit sa tanong kung starring or cameo role. May point po ba ako? TY po.

+639173532723 -- Gud am Mr. Lorenzo. I just want to clarify this especially to all Vilmanians: No one can dispute the fact that only Nora Aunor has become successful in all forms of entertainment that she's involved in:

movies, TV-radio, magazines/komiks, concert, recording, stageplay, etc. To this date, no showbiz icon has ever surpassed nor equalled her phenomenal rise to stardom/popularity, not even Gov. Vilma has ever achieved that feat. Agree po ba kayo Mr. Lorenzo? Thanks po.
