Ogie happy for Michelle

THURSDAY last week, we were invited by GMA 7 to a press visit on the set of its very exciting game show, "Hole in the Wall" hosted by the indefatigable wacky duo, Ogie Alcasid and Michael V who are portraying Angelina and Yaya, respectively.

We tried to squeeze some intriguing questions but both actors are so untainted when it comes to their personal lives. All are work and fun at the same time for both. Still, Ogie obliged to say that ex-wife, Michelle van Eimeren is getting married to her boyfriend in November. Ogie says he is happy for her and wishes her happiness. After all, she's the mother of his two lovely daughters.

Meanwhile, we learned that Dennis Trillo and Marian Rivera have long wanted to join the very exciting and adventurous show hosted by Ogie and Michael. At last, they were able to squeeze in a chance to tape for the show which is going to air within the week. At stake is P2. 2 million for the winning team.

Other special guests on Hole in the Wall for the week include Aljur Abrenica Kris Bernal, Polo Avelino vs. Jay Aquitaña, Stef Prescot and LJ Reyes for Monday; Marian Rivera, Paolo Ballesteros, Sheena Halili vs. Marky Lopez , Matteo Guidicille and Arci Munoz for Tuesday; and Dennis Trillo, John Feir, Beverly Salviejo vs. Wendell Ramos, Nikki Dacullo and Mosang for Wednesday.

MOST EXPENSIVE ANNIVERSARY PRESENTATION

GMA7's 59th anniversary wasn't just purely song and dance galore: they capped it with something glitzy, classy and glam for a change, a fashion show featuring the stars of GMA7 and others who have appeared on the network. It drew thousands of spectators at the Big Dome last Friday night. The Kapuso stars were featured in the evolution and latest trend in fashion as models who showed their elan in ramp modeling. GMA Dance Royalties had a face-off while character actress Celia Rodriguez showed 'em how to be constantly in fashion in a red gown escorted by Eddie Garcia.

Even the figures from the News and Public Affairs, all gamely joined the fun in "One Glamorous Night: Greater and Grateful at 59", the GMA anniversary special which will be shown soon.

The show is touted as one of the most expensive anniversary production offerings. This is GMA7's way of saying thank you for the public's undying support through the years and believing in GMA talents.

A SOUL BETWEEN

EVEN in his death our friend Douglas Quijano had proven to be a peacemaker. It was during his wake that the settling of differences between mother and daughter, Ruffa Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama, and friends Gretchen Barretto and Nadia Montenegro happened.

Nobody really can match Doug when it comes to being a person in between warring souls. His memory will live forever.
